I bought this bass because I like to pick up and play as the mood hits me throughout the day. Instead of always having to plug in my electric and move equipment from room to room I decided on a acoustic bass. I can play with the background music and still hear myself. It was a little bigger then I expected. The sound is spongey but very clear. When you plug in if you don't have a processor the on board tone controls work great. The strings have a little more space between them compared to an electric and that took a little getting used to. The on board tuner is accurate. As far as the body, neck, and overall product I have no complaints. I love this guitar and am so happy I bought it.

Oh yes, we did! From deep within the cavernous and labyrinthine Research and Development department down at Fender headquarters, we've come up with this totally new take on the acoustic bass guitar-designed for the discerning bassist, yet friendly to guitarists, too. From its Jazz Bass guitar headstock, neck shape, strap button, and machine heads, it feels like home to the electric bassist, but it embodies all the deep and rich tones acoustic players look for. With a solid spruce top, traditional bridge, gold pickguard and lusciously bound fingerboard with eye-catching block position inlays, this bass is destined to make groundbreaking music!
