(More customer reviews)The sound and balance of this instrument is excellent. Each string is well articulated and clear when strumming or playing finger style. Volume is much better than I expected for this size instrument.
I have bought a lot of guitars. Generally when I buy a guitar under $500 I don't expect much for setup and have a collection of files and tools to make the necessary adjustments. This instrument was set up perfectly with a nice low action and good intonation. The finish of the instrument was excellent and above what is expected at this price range.
The guitar does have a very chunky neck. I find it very comfortable for chords but some with smaller hands may not like it as much. Since this guitar is designed with finger style players in mind the spacing between strings is also wider.
If you ever thought this type of instrument might be your cup of tea, this guitar would be the perfect entry ticket into the style, I certainly am impressed with the instrument.
My only complaint is the poor packaging of the instrument for shipment by Amazon. I am fortunate that the guitar arrived in one piece.
