Enter the ME-50B. Just like its guitar-oriented sibling, the new ME-50B puts BOSS' finest multi-effects for bass into a convenient floor processor with the feel of a compact pedal. Forget about menus and cursor buttons. Just reach down and twist a knob!Independent COSM Compressor/Limiter and EQEveryone knows that the fundamentals of good bass tone are compression and EQ. Simply select the compressor "Type" and adjust the Sustain/Threshold knob to get the tone you want. The Master section includes a 3-band EQ with a sweepable mid for precise tonal shaping.Get Creative with Cool Filter/Tone EffectsThe ME-50B includes a variety of unique tone-shaping effects just for bass. Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man Pedal Review

Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man Pedal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Deluxe Memory Man is the pedal that was made famous by The Edge's sound in U2 as well as countless other musicians who have relied on this analog delay. Analog delay pedals are preferred over digital delays for their "warm" sound, actually caused in part by the deterioration of the high-end frequencies of the signal as the repeats continue. This slight change over time in the delay sounds more natural to the ear than the "carbon copy" repeats of digital delays, which sound exactly the same each repeat.
Each analog delay pedal sounds slightly different, and many people prefer the sound of the DMM. This is supposedly due to a certain classic chip that is used in this pedal. I have compared this to a MXR Carbon Copy, which is about half the price and a much smaller footprint. I liked the Carbon Copy, but I like the DMM much better. Another good feature it has is the modulation. You can set it to vibrato or chorus, and you can determine the amount of modulation. The modulation sounds pretty good, and it only affects the repeats.
The main downside is it needs its own power supply, and it has a very large footprint. The fact that it remains so popular despite these two major negatives (and its price) tells you what a good pedal it is. However, you may wish to wait for the upcoming "XO" Deluxe Memory Man, which is coming out quite soon and should be the same pedal in a smaller package.

Experience the analog edge. Nothing can compare to the organic sound of analog delay, and no one does analog like the Deluxe Memory Man! Up to 550 mS of vibrant echo that rivals tape delay; lush, spatial chorus and haunting vibrato are just a few of the treats in the Memory Man's sonic smorgasbord!

Maxon AD-9 Analog Delay Review

Maxon AD-9 Analog Delay

Maxon AD-9 Delay
A++ on this one. A bit pricey $$$$ - yes, but this is a super nice analog delay pedal for the money. One of the best I've ever played to date. Gets those great full, spacey and lush sounding delay and echo sounds so common in older recordings. There are few TRUE analog pedals left on the market these days and this one takes the cake. I play through an old Fender Princeton amplifier and the tone and sounds I can dial in are nothing short of awesome! Pedal is solid, with a nice diecast chassis and will last a lifetime if taken care of. Maxon pedals are made in Japan too, so you know this is a quality effects pedal with top notch components and circuitry. This unit allows for up to 450 milliseconds of delay time, possesses true bypass wiring and again is the best value on the market today for a legitimate, real and true sounding analog delay!! Get one and you'll be a fan too.

Fishman AFX Pedal - Reverb Review

Fishman AFX Pedal - Reverb
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is definitely a high quality fx pedal! It's built like a tank and you couldn't ask for better quality reverbs - they are rich and lush and very "tweak-able." There are three reasons I give this 4 stars instead of 5:
1. This thing eats 9v batteries pretty quickly, quicker than most pedals I've used;
2. It didn't come with an AC adapter; and,
3. For $250, it should have come with the adapter and the kitchen sink.
That said, it's a very worthy pedal for acoustic reverb.

Empress ParaEq with Boost Review

Empress ParaEq with Boost
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I typically play a Gibson 335, Les Paul, Strat or Tele through a Tone King Meteor II (high end boutique version of a 60's fender blackface). I usually get either lost in the mix or dominate it. With this pedal I found two narrow frequencies that caused the problem and cut them. Then I add a wide range for a top boost. Problem solved--AMAZING tone that sits in the mix like in the studio.
It's a boring concept. $250 for an EQ? It's very worth it. I have owned EQ pedals before and not really understood the point. I suppose the quality of this is so superior that dialing in something useful is much easier -- I DO NOT like graphic eq's.
It's the only pedal on my extensive pedalboard that i would not ever consider replacing (although the empress superdelay, while quirky is a close second)
Really excited about this company!

I got this after a couple of failed attempts with cheaper Boss and TC units. For the extra $$ it's built like a tank, and works exactly as advertised. Awesome, inspiring delay sounds, more than I could explore in a lifetime, are readily accessible. If you just want simple delays there are much cheaper stompboxes (e.g. Digitech Digidelay, Boss in the $100 range) that do the job fine with a lot less programming. But if you use delay a lot are are particular about the details, avoid the $200-$300 range TC and Boss options and get the Eventide.

This pedal is pretty fantastic. There is a ton of tone options with the two different sides. You're best checking youtube for reviews where you can hear the pedal. DO NOTE that this near $300 pedal doesn't come with an adapter and can't take a battery, so add an adapter to your order.

The Blackout Effectors Twosome Dual Fuzz is a unique blend of circuits from two of Blackout Effectors flagship fuzz pedals in one enclosure. On the left side is the Fix'd fuzz with the addition of external controls for the Fuzz 1 and Fuzz 2 instead of internal trim pots. On the right side is the super powerful Musket Fuzz circuit capable of tones that can melt your face off. On the left side of the Twosome, the circuit features a knob for Boost which allows you to use it as a clean boost push your tube amp into overdrive or to slam into the internal fuzz stages of the pedal yielding those great overdriven fuzz tones without the need for additional pedals. The knobs for Fuzz 1 and Fuzz 2 control each of the individual fuzz circuits and can be used individually or together for a little sonic madness. All 4 stages of the circuit are bypass-able via their respective toggles, meaning you can add/remove from the stack as your black heart desires. The other side of the Blackout Effectors Twosome Dual Fuzz is the Musket. This circuit features one of the most famous fuzz tones in the world with even more muffiness. If you love vintage Big Muffs but you needed something more the Musket fuzz is a dream come true.

Line 6 Vetta II Combo Amp Review

Line 6 Vetta II Combo Amp
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This amp has servered me well, I still use it extensively for live performances as well as recording. I bought it back in 2004 and it's still going strong.
The paragraph below is basically the same review I posted on Musicians Friend back in 2006.
This amp has all the features I've ever wanted and a lot more. If you're a mad scientist type that likes experimenting, then you will love this amp. If you're someone that doesn't like messing around with a lot of knobs and settings, then this is not the amp for you, buy a Fender twin or a Marshall half and be done with it. While the Vetta II alone offers a lot of capabilities I do recommend the FBV floorboard and Variax guitar if your budget permits. The value of being able change your amp and guitar models with a single click of a footswitch is worth the price of admission IMHO. Before I had the Vetta II and Variax I can't tell you how many times I wished for this capability while switching guitars between songs at a gig. The only issue I've had with this amp is it's susceptibility to power surges. It used to reset itself on me during rehearsals but since then, I've always plugged it into a surge protector and it's never reset on me during a gig.

Boss RC-50 Loop Station Review

Boss RC-50 Loop Station
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this as my first loop station, completely ignoring the RC-2 and RC-20, because if you're like me, you don't want to spend $100+ on a loop station that is obsolete to a $500 one. I decided to save for a while, and I must say it was worth it, for my desires as a musician. It's much easier to use than I thought it would be. I used one at my local music store and ended up embarrassing myself, because it was the first time I'd ever touched it. So, because I didn't wanted that feeling of embarrassment again, I read the first few pages of the manual on how to use it, practiced with it for a good 20 minutes, and I had it down, apart from a couple little things I learned along the way.
Here's how it works: There is a tap tempo pedal, where you can tap your foot to set the tempo, or you can actually hit the tap/tempo button to set the exact bpm (this is very useful for me, because I want to do electronica music, and having the loop at, say 90 bpm, makes it much easier to sync other instruments like a drum machine or a synth to the loop). The little light on the pedal blinks as a metronome, and it can play drum loops as a guide, which makes thing a bit easier. You hit the record pedal to obviously record, and hit it again when you want it to loop. If you made a mistake, there is an undo/redo pedal for the most recent loop made. There are three pedals all the way to the right title "Phrase 1", "Phrase 2", and "Phrase 3" and you can choose which of these to record the loop in, and you can alter the volume of each in case you wish to have one loop louder than the other(s). And then there's the "Stop" pedal, which will stop whatever phrase is selected. There's a lot I've left out, these are just the basics, the manual has everything you need to know.
Features:
Drums loops: There are plenty of drum loops available, varying different genres.
Reverse: If you're like me, you will LOVE this feature. My favorite band is Boards Of Canada, so obviously I enjoy the sound of music backmasked, which they do in a ton of their songs. You can record a loop in a phrase, and then reverse whatever is being played in that phrase. You can make some really dark moods, or create a very unique sound of drums (Ex. The Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever" has some drum sounds played in reverse).
USB Connector: Exchange data between RC50 and computer.
Again, more stuff I've left out, but I don't want this review to be too long. These are just the features I mainly use.
Pros:
*Easy To Use: I didn't really have any huge problems with it, and got it down kinda fast.
*You can use multiple instruments: Like I said, I bought this because I want to do more with Electronic music, and I planned to use with with a synthesizer, drum machine, computer, etc.
The rest of the pros I'm sure I mentioned earlier. Now on to why it didn't get a perfect 5/5 stars for me.
Cons:
*I could use more phrase pedals: Call me greedy, but I would find it so much more useful.
*Placement of knobs and buttons: I kind of wish this could detach and have a cable to the pedal board. I can't operate all the knobs and buttons with my feet, and I hate having to bend down in order to do that. This is my biggest complaint.Other than that, I'd recommend this looper. For the stuff I want to do in music, I couldn't do it without this.

EMG KH20 Kirk Hammett Active Pickup Set with Pickguard Review

EMG KH20 Kirk Hammett Active Pickup Set with Pickguard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I went back and forth on buying this active pickup set for a few weeks. Amazon had a great deal on it one day and I finally decided to purchase and test it out. I'm glad I did!
The packaging, documentation, and components are all very high quality. It comes with everything you need for installation, including pickguard screws (I didn't know this).
The single coils really do retain that Strat sound, and the EMG 81 is awesome for heavier riffs/songs. This pickup set provides a lot of flexibility. One day I may post some sound clips to my website.
Installation was pretty easy in a Fender Squire Affinity Strat. The body cavity wasn't deep enough for the battery, so I needed to route out about a half inch below the knobs. I used a Dremel for this with a router bit and a cutting bit. There was NO soldering involved - everything connects to a circuit board underneath the knobs. Very cool.
I highly recommend this pickup set.

Great switcher, does exactly what I need it to do(and that's a lot). I'm forming a Yes Tribute Band and I never thought I would find one pedal that would allow me to plug my guitar, steel, and stand mounted sitar in at one time; much less be able to switch any of them between two amp rigs. I am thrilled. It's extremely well built and the Lehle Company stands behind it's products. Fast responce to an email and the owner was going to mail a spare power plug for free. I found the right sized plug locally, but still you can't beat that kind of service.

Empress Tremolo Review

Empress Tremolo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got an Amazon gift card for my birthday with the instructions to buy something fun with it, to splurge a little. This is what I chose. I don't really *need* a tremolo (I'm not a performer), but it sure is fun to play with!
I researched a lot of tremolo pedals before deciding on this one (thanks, ProGuitarShop! I owe you one). I chose it primarily because of what I heard, but also due to the impressive amounts of controls that are available. If there's a certain trem sound you're trying to achieve, I can almost guarantee you can get it with this box! I won't go over all the controls because that's in the product description. I can tell you that tap tempo is *awesome*, almost a must-have. It will spoil you. The tube style trem is great for all-around applications, while the square style is a lot of fun to play with. I haven't used the triangle much yet, but then again I just got the box.
Besides tap tempo, another feature that is unique and awesome is the rhythm settings. Check around on YouTube for some demos of them. It's a nice touch that really sets this product apart from other tremolo effects.
On the negative side, there are a few small things that I don't like, though not deal-breakers. First, the tempo LED will continue to flash as long as the unit has power. That can be annoying for home hobbyists like myself. Second, there is no way to save presets. Finally, this unit does not run on battery power, yet an AC adapter must be purchased separately.
Even with those few minor concerns, I still rate this product as five stars due to sound and features.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Empress Tremolo

Pristine Sound - The Empress Tremolo has to be heard to be believed. Its whisper quiet and free from the "LFO throb" usually associated with tremolos. We dare anyone to find a better sounding tremolo.Waveform Selection - You can modulate your sound with three different waveforms. An asymmetrical tremolo was modeled after a '65 Fender Vibrolux (brown face) to give you the fullest tremolo sound possible. A square wave can be utilized if you're after a harder sound. And if you're looking for a more normal tremolo, you can use the triangle wave setting.Tap Tempo - The Empress Trem averages your last four taps so it plays in sync with your music. You can also choose different tap to tremolo rate ratios. 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 are available. Two Speed Mode - An exclusive feature to the Empress Trem. You're able to set two different rates, and switch between them using the tap tempo stomp switch. This is similar to playing through a Leslie cabinet and changing the speed.Rhythms - Another exclusive feature. The Empress Trem will definitely do your run-of-the-mill tremolo sound to a tee. But you can also set it to play different rhythms. Check out the soundclips for examples.Gain - A problem with most tremolos on the market is that when they're engaged, you hear a noticeable drop in volume. The Empress Trem solves this by having a gain stage on the output. It's able to deliver up to 6dB of gain without adding any distortion to the signal.True Bypass - The Empress Trem employs true bypass, so you can be sure that it's not affecting the signal when disengaged.Perfect Size - The enclosure measures approximately 4.5" by 3.5" by 1.5", which is delightfully small when considering all the features packed into this unit.Four Year Warranty - The Empress Tremolo comes with a two-year warranty. You can extend the warranty to 4 years by simply registering online.

Boomerang Boomerang III Phrase Loop Sampler Review

Boomerang Boomerang III Phrase Loop Sampler
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm updating this review after updating the firmware. It now is fully functional. If you want a basic easy looper, get one of the simple Boss or Digitech pedals. If you want a POWERFUL and FLEXIBLE looper, get this one. The company is small (this is no mega corporate schtick), the looper sounds fantastic, built like a tank, and it has a surprisingly small footprint. You can read the manual on the company website to read about how many incredible and innovative features this looper has, but I personally love the ability to customize the buttons, play separate loops of different lengths, and set up a master loop (usually one measure "click" track) and then slave other loops to it. You can set it up to do about whatever you want. The only drawback is that it won't record loops within the unit, but thats isn't what it is designed for; its designed for serious live looping and flying without a net. I laugh in the face of danger! Ha! Ha! Ha!
This is a pedal designed by guitarists for guitarists. But I use it for guitar, sax, and vocal (you can use the Rang's stereo as two mono split channels!).
Five stars!!

The Boomerang® III chassis is the same wedge shape as the original but smaller. It's footprint is 6" (front to back) by 9" (side to side) by 2" tall, and weighs less than 3 lb. The III is easy to operate and as intuitive as the Plus, but it will be deeper if you want to explore the new features.

This is an awesome preamp! great tone, my guitar snarls and squeals like never before. Does it feel like a tube amp? not quite but its close in terms of response to playing dynamics. Missing some of the harmonic nuances of tube tone decay*... but hey, if you have $$ to drop on a triaxis or a real amp (which you probably couldn't use in an apartment), you shouldn't be looking here anyway. Note: the little handles on the side are black, not silver as shown in the picture.
*e.g. ~4:50, comfortably numb on Pulse
