Behringer PMP5000 1,200-Watt 20-Channel Powered Mixer Review

Behringer PMP5000 1,200-Watt 20-Channel Powered Mixer

This mixer is perfect and affordable. Flexible and feature rich for entry level or budget conscious groups; but make no mistake; this is a reliable piece of equipment and has plenty of inputs for your needs. the effects are fine, but we liked better the ability to fine tune frequencies. We upgraded to the PMP5000 from a good but tired smaller amp that provided many years of service. We have already used the 5000 on a couple of small concerts and it has more than complied to our expectations, we are very happy with this purchase. Love the convenience to connect a player as well.
Note: If you don't have one, I recommend getting a case for the mixer. It will protect your equipment and facilitate transport. Gator has very good ones.

If you need superior stereo sound for small club gigs, churches or speeches, but have to keep the outboard gear to a minimum, the 20-channel PMP5000 can really deliver. This 1,200-Watt mixer has built-in mic preamps and dual FX processors, as well as enough power to drive both mains and monitors, thanks to twin onboard 600-Watt power amps.

Massive Mono or Stunning Stereo The PMP5000 gives you the choice of 2 x 600-Watt stereo, 2 x 600-Watt dual mono or 1,200-Watt bridged mono sound. Whether the center of attention happens to be a folk trio, a speech, or a synth-rock band with mind-boggling stereo patches, the PMP5000 can accommodate. This sonic versatility also makes it an excellent choice for churches, where vocals and stereo recordings often share face time.
Classic Control, State-of-the-Art Sound Leave the mic preamps at home, because the quality of sound that was once only available in the studio is ready to go wherever you do. Twelve built-in, boutique-caliber mic preamps with switchable +48 V phantom power make it possible to use either dynamic or condenser mics with the PMP5000.
Built-in Digital Effects Processor It's also equipped with two 24-bit FX processors, each giving you 100 mind-blowing digital effect presets such as delay, chorus and reverb. Apply them to any channel, as well as to the monitors and main output. In case you're pulling double duty as sound engineer and performer, the FX processors feature a footswitch jack for remote on/off.
Changing the Channels The PMP5000 gives you excellent flexibility to accommodate whatever a performance requires. Channels 1-12 are for mics, guitars and other mono instruments. Stereo channels 13-20 are designed to work in pairs as stereo channels, or independently for more mono instruments. All mono channels have 3-band EQ, switchable Low cut filter for eliminating infrasonics, and Clip LEDs to indicate when the input signal is too hot.
The Ins and Outs Use the CD/TAPE IN RCA inputs to feed in external stereo signals from CD players or tape decks. The VOICE CANCELLER switch eliminates the vocals from pre-recorded music for instant karaoke applications.
CD/TAPE OUT RCA outputs send line-level signals from the mixer to a recording device. The left and right output 1/4" connectors are there in case you need to connect more power amps. Connect monitor power amps or active monitor speakers to the MON SOUND output.
A STANDBY switch mutes all mic channels during breaks, preventing the microphones from picking up noise or interference. You can leave all faders untouched while you play a CD via the CD/TAPE inputs.
The FBQ Feedback Detection system automatically shows you which frequencies are causing feedback. Just touch the FBQ button and watch the red LEDs on the 7-band graphic EQ pinpoint show you which frequencies to adjust for optimized sound, without the feedback.
Power Options The PMP5000's POWER AMP switch toggles between three operating modes: MAIN, MON/MONO and BRIDGE (the power outputs of A and B on the back panel are added and provided at OUTPUT B). Dual mono mode allows you to use Output A for mono Mains and Output B for monitors. This clever functionality enables you to power both your mains and monitors, without the need for any additional power amps.

Behringer EurOlive F1220A High-Performance, Active 125-Watt Monitor Speaker System with 12 Woofer, 1 Compression Driver And Feedback Filter Review

Behringer EurOlive F1220A High-Performance, Active 125-Watt Monitor Speaker System with 12 Woofer, 1 Compression Driver And Feedback Filter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been a fan of Behringer products since 2004. My first experience with them was when I'd ordered a UB2222FXPro mixer in April of 2004 despite a dire warning from one of my well-intentioned, musician friends: "You know Behringer stuff is cheap. It's flimsy and won't last long." When pressed as to how he acquired his valuable insight, he paused a moment and said, "Well, that's what I read online." And yes, I've seen similar comments in online reviews of Behringer products; but I suspect that many of these bad reviews might actually be propaganda posted by competitors.
My band plays on the average of 4 to 5 nights a week; and my Behringer mixer has continued to work flawlessly for six years now. In fact in 2008, I purchased a 2nd Behringer mixer (Xenyx 2222FX) for backup. Besides these two mixers, I've acquired a plethora of other Behringer products: Pro-XL MDX 2600 (compressor/gate/expander/peak limiter,) 212A powered PA speaker; U-Control UCA202 USB-audio interface; Minimon Mon800 Stereo Monitor Matrix Mixer; CX2310 Super-X Pro Crossover; DR100 reverb pedal; Powerplay Pro-XL HA4700 (headphone amp;) Truth B2030A Active Studio Monitors; Tube Ultragain MIC200 (mic preamp); Vintager GM110 Combo Amp; DEQ2496 Ultracurve (speaker management/digital EQ) and a ECM8000 reference mic.
All the above units have done exactly what they're supposed to do - always surpassing my expectations and always priced way below their competitors' counterparts. Out of all these items I've only had two problems:
1) I had a "dead" channel on my 2nd mixer (Xenyx 2222FX), and that was quickly resolved by a replacement unit being sent out immediately by Musician's Friend.
2) My first DEQ2496 (digital EQ) suddenly failed after nearly 4 years of almost daily use. (It turned out that it was actually cheaper to simply buy another unit as opposed to repairing the original.)
I've prefaced this review of the Behringer F1220A Active Monitor Speaker with all the above background information to let the readers know of my prior experience with Behringer products - especially in regard to product reliability.
The F1220A is a sleek-looking unit, covered with tough, durable covering. The boxes are constructed to lie on their sides on the stage floor, angled up towards the performer. These enclosures can also be stand-mounted via an integrated 35 mm pole socket. On the front panel there are controls for: level; bass, mid-range and treble EQ; sweepable feedback filter with in/out switch; mic/line input (both XLR and 1/4") and a "link output" (both XLR and 1/4") for cascading additional powered units. This monitor features a 12" driver and a 1" high-frequency driver powered by 125 watts.
So, how does it sound? Incredible! Plenty of volume and quality. We had been using Mackie SRM350s for stage monitors; and now I have noted a fuller, warmer bottom end - much easier on the ears. (And I must admit my band members and I had been very satisfied with the Mackies; but I just had to try these Behringers. And now everybody's even happier!)
Besides the band, I do a solo gig every Wednesday. So out of curiosity, I tried the F1220A as a main. I pole-mounted it (a bit tricky for one person due to the location of the socket,) and it sounded great as a PA speaker! It handled the bass of the split keyboard and the drum unit as well as the vocal and backing tracks with plenty of power and quality. As far volume, this speaker is capable of much more than I would ever use for this mid-sized venue (approx 100 people) for my Wed night gig.
Back to the band, all the guys I work with have been very impressed with these monitors. They especially like being able to adjust the volume to their liking along with tailoring the EQ to their taste. And at least two of them, without prompting, have commented on the full, low end that these monitors provide.
This monitor has a sturdy, strap handle of the top. The unit can be a bit unwieldy when carried by the handle depending which "face" of the speaker is towards your leg. If you find the unit banging against your knee, just rotate it 180 degrees, and you'll be fine.
You'll want to keep your monitor safe while transporting it. Even though it does have a tough exterior, you might consider purchasing the Gator GPA-SCVR450-515 Speaker Covers. They run about $50 and fit these monitors pretty well. They even have a cutout for the monitor's strap handle. Or you can use the bag's own handles. They are a good investment to keep your F1220A in good shape.
My verdict? Another outstanding value from Behringer!

Behringer Ultrabass BX1800 Bass Combo 180W (Standard) Review

Behringer Ultrabass BX1800 Bass Combo 180W (Standard)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had this combo for about a month now - and am very pleased. I was initially looking at the Ampeg BA115 (a friend has one), but the starting price of $320.00+ (even used) put it just a bit outside what I could reasonably afford. Having had good results from a small 10-watt guitar practice amp from Behringer, I decided on this combo.
The sound is strong and clear, with good control from the EQ - I can get anything from a low rumble to a very snappy and percussive slap. I have not had the chance to really crank the volume - the highest I've gotten was about 6 on the master and 7 on the gain, and the windows in my apartment were starting to rattle.
I have two basses that I have run through the combo - an SX Jazz Bass-style, and a mid-60s Fender MusicMaster short-scale. The SX has a very percussive sound - unless I crank the highs quite a ways down, it gets very sharp attack - great for slap'n'pop. I think that this bass sounds better with the shape control on - it seems to accentuate the "slappy" sound. The MusicMaster, on the other hand, sounds less "slappy" - and more like an older P-Bass - the amp gives it a nice thick bottom end. It can get a little muddy if the gain is too high - but I think that is more because of the short-scale bass than the amp.
I have a Logitech BP80 multi-effects unit, and have tried it both prior to the pre-amp and on the effects loop - either method has good sound.
The only improvement that I think could be made is that the CD input is a dual-RCA connector - common enough for rack-mount stereos, but seldom available in portable CD players - requiring an adapter for many owners. That should be switched to (or supplemented by) an eighth-inch stereo (headphone-style) jack so that the adapter is unnecessary.
Compared to the Ampeg that I was originally looking at, the sound is not quite as sharp and clean, but close. The volume is hard to tell, since I have not really been able to crank it, but I think it will be just a little less. While I think the Ampeg is probably the better amp by a little bit, the price difference of $70.00 makes this the better value, to me.

Honestly, I was very skeptical when ordering these behringer speakers. But after owning them for a couple of months and using them several times, I have grown to like them and heres why:
The price.
The 550 watts of pure power.
The bass and treble control.
The 1/4" input AND mic input.
And the volume control on the back.
Is it a crisp as a JBL, no....but nobody can hear the difference unless you know what a jbl eon sounds like.
I think these are great for small meetings, conferences, dj's, ect....

Bought this mixer to have the whole band on ONE mixer...... This solved the problem with channels to spare and added some beautifull extras. The busses where great for isolating the whole drumset, vocals etc..... And sending dry sounds to the house PA. The fx are great that no extra gear has to be hauled. In live performances we need minimal fx so these are awesome. Still have to try it out in my studio setup to see the performance there but I don't think I'll be disappointed. Great product and great handling.

QSC GX3 Stereo Power Amplifier Review

QSC GX3 Stereo Power Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I started looking around for a performance power amp that was in between crown and Behringer. Now while I consider Crown the holy grail of power amps, I didn't feel like spending the cash for the Harley-Davidson of power amps. So when looking, I actually took a look at parts express and their most popular power amps. To me, the majority of the people that visit that site have their head screwed on straight and care about quality products. While a lot of the reviews showed promise for Behringer, my cousin and I currently employ a tube based preamp in my studio, and while it worked flawlessly in the beginning, all the pot's on my preamp are now fuzzy and buzzy. His preamp sucked from day one, buzzing at 60Hz, requiring post process filtering which saps the nuances out of the recording. To sum up my opposition to Behringer, I didn't feel like getting a product that worked well for a year or two, though I just bought a Behringer 8-channel mixer to go with it ($60 and not regretting it yet, but we'll see)
Hooking it up to my 6.5" jbl studio s26-ii's, I was blown away by its punch and clarity. Mind you, its normally being driven by an 80W/ch Onkyo (0.08%THD). The speakers had more dynamic to the sound, and it was absolutely fantastic. I had done this while I awaited the arrival of my MTX PA speakers.
I bought a pair of MTX TP2400 to go along with it. They are definitely not the greatest speaker out there, but they put out the high SPL sound I was looking for in a live performance. The amplifier drives them pretty well, though I cant help but be slightly disappointed with the result. I am confident that the amp is not the culprit though due to how well it has driven my other smaller studio speakers.
I think these cheap PA speakers really show the beauty of the amp though, Its speaker/clipping protection made the music stay at uninterrupted high levels. The other great thing is the 6 year transferable warranty. While I don't really care too much about warranties, Behringer's abysmal 1 year warranty pushed me over to QSC. That's pretty much saying what I think about my current products, they know its too risky to warranty a product longer than a year.
I hope you find this info useful, because these guys deserve every sale they get.

Fishman AFX Pedal - Reverb Review

Fishman AFX Pedal - Reverb
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is definitely a high quality fx pedal! It's built like a tank and you couldn't ask for better quality reverbs - they are rich and lush and very "tweak-able." There are three reasons I give this 4 stars instead of 5:
1. This thing eats 9v batteries pretty quickly, quicker than most pedals I've used;
2. It didn't come with an AC adapter; and,
3. For $250, it should have come with the adapter and the kitchen sink.
That said, it's a very worthy pedal for acoustic reverb.

Behringer PMP3000 1,200-Watt 16-Channel Powered Mixer Review

Behringer PMP3000 1,200-Watt 16-Channel Powered Mixer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We bought this powered mixer to replace a defective one at our church. Our sanctuary can seat 900 people and so it is a fairly large auditorium. The mixer has more power than the previous powered mixer and many more features. I especially like the individual channel mute buttons so we can kill a mic without having to move the gain adjustments. The only thing I did not like about this mixer is there was no block working diagram available. So we had to construct one for ourselves. To a trained eye, by using a block schematic diagram, it is easier to know how to set up the mixer for different applications and to troubleshoot a problem.
The actual steady state power output is more like 200 watts (each of the two stereo outputs)for our 8 ohm speaker system but still is greater that the old powered mixer. That is a total of 400 watts as compared to the (at first glance) advertised 1200 watts. We do not have to use the maximum gain on any channel so the output is fine for our use. There is also a headset output that follows the actual powered signal which can give you a better idea of mixed signal that is sent to the speakers and to our DVD and CD recorders.
The people at Behringer were able to answer all my questions without any problems so tech support was great. We did have a little difficulty in figuring out how to use the FX special effects (reverb, etc) generator but once we did figure it out, using it was just as advertised. You can probably guess that the instruction manual is not extensively done. But with a limited budget for an emergency purchase of a powered mixer, we are thoroughly satisfied with the quality and price.
The price is exceptional and caused a few doubting comments about how could we get what we needed for such a small price. We have been using the unit for two months now with absolutely no problems.
My suggestion is that before you purchase this unit, download the instruction manual from the Behringer site. You will see the output connection is not a 1/4 jack. If that is what you have, you will have to buy an adapter or convert the present cable connection to the new type. The adapters or connectors are not very expensive (Neutrik NA4LJX Speakon To 1/4" Mono Jack Adapter)and cost under $11 including shipping. You can optionally by the Speakon connectors and convert the speaker cable to the new connector type.

The PRO MIXER DJX700 is a professional 5-channel DJ mixer with great features for club-worn veterans and starry-eyed newbies alike.

Five-Channel DJ Mixer The DJX700 features four dual input stereo channels, and 1 ULN microphone channel with "on air" switch. A dedicated effects loop is ideal for connection of external devices (sampler, reverb processor etc.), and the adjustable crossfader curve lets you adjust for all mixing styles.
Three-Band Kill EQ Dial it in with a three-band kill EQ (-32 dB) and precise level meters with peak hold function on each channel.
ULTRAGLIDE Faders The faders are the heart and soul of every mixer. With their 500,000 cycles life expectancy, Behringer's high-grade 45-mm ULTRAGLIDE faders outperform standard faders more than twenty-fold. VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) technology goes hand in hand with our faders--audio signal does not run directly through them; instead, the faders only provide a control voltage to the VCAs. The advantage: practically no audio noise caused by mechanical wear.
Built-In Digital Effects Your crowd will be astounded by the 47 breathtaking digital effect presets in 24-bit quality: delay, reverb, flanger, filter, panner, ultrabass, exciter, Vinylizer, voice changer and more. Your audience will be astounded, but they'll never have to know your secret.
Track-Matching Tools Matching tracks is an art in itself. It takes countless nights of practice before you can truly say you have it under your belt. With the intelligent BPM counter, Behringer take a lot of the guesswork out. Features like SYNC LOCK and BEAT ASSIST help you seamlessly align two tracks without having to rely solely on your ears.
Surround Function Behringer also gives you the awesome XPQ 3D surround function. It widens the stereo image and adds life and transparency to your sound--it's a great way to put a unique finishing touch to your sound and make it feel bigger and wider.
Low-Noise Preamps You work either with CDs or vinyl--sometimes both--and they all induce their own noise into the mix. The last thing you want is to pile even more mixer-originated noise on top of that. That's why all of Behringer's DJ mixers incorporate the improved ULN (Ultra Low-Noise) preamps: what comes in comes out, with nothing added. So you get maximum headroom, minimal noise and ultra-transparent sound.

I think I was a little ignorant in thinking that a 4 channel mixer would only be around 250 dollars. If you want something that works then go for it. But if you want buttons, knobs that look like they won't break any minute, and are tight and fit. This is not for you. i was disappointed, because you can't really see that until you have it in your hands.

Vocal fine-tuning is handled by the onboard 3-band EQ, which provides up to 15 dB of boost or cut at LOW (80 Hz), MID (2.5 k), and HIGH (12 kHz) frequency centers--creating an extremely broad tonal palette.

Not Just a DJX700 Dressed in Black! DJs the world over love the DJX700, so when Behringer began design on the DJX750, they had to do something very special. They started by revving up the FX processor and putting advanced parameter control right at your fingertips.
No longer are you confined to rigid presets that limit your creativity. With the DJX750, you can change FX parameters on-the-fly, pushing your performance to the next level. In no time you'll be creating powerful sets with your own custom-tailored effects sounds, all of which can be controlled in real-time. Some parameters at your disposal include Bit Crusher depth, manual filter sweeps, Panning (LFO Rate), delay/echo time and much more. You can even set delay and echo timing relative to the internal BPM counter for extremely musical results. It is kinda like a DJX700--but one on steroids!
Really good digital effects add the finishing touch to a solid performance, and ours are really good! With 33 outstanding effects to choose from, including an assortment of Phase Shifters, Flangers, Reverbs, Delays and more, your audience won't know what hit them. There are even Auto Filter and Voice Changer effects that will take your show to a whole new level.
Channels Galore Because your voice is your instrument, the DJX750 features a dedicated mic channel with all the tools to make your sound supremely distinctive. Vocal fine-tuning is handled by the onboard 3-band EQ, which provides up to 15 dB of boost or cut at LOW (80 Hz), MID (2.5 k), and HIGH (12 kHz) frequency centers--creating an extremely broad tonal palette. The DJX750's stereo channels' EQ utilize the same frequency centers with a boost of up to 12 dB and a cut of as much as -32dB. These channels are equipped to handle every conceivable input source--from line level, phono, CD and tape decks to mp3 and minidisk players, Behringer's got you covered.
Auto Ducking DJX750's talkover function automatically detects your voice and brings down the volume of the music track (referred to as "ducking"), so your voice is always out front--you can even set this level to your own personal preference. Auto BPM Counter Sync'ing up tracks is an art unto itself--that's why Behringer gave the DJX750 dual Auto BPM Counters. This cool feature helps take the guess work out of making a smooth transition from one track to the next. Each BPM counter's digital display shows which channel it is tracking and the tempo of the music in beats per minute. Optionally, you can push the Beat Assist button in time with the song to manually enter the tempo. You get a read out of the tempo difference between the tracks, as well as a visual confirmation when they are in sync. These tools will help you seamlessly align two tracks--without having to rely solely on your ears.
Crossfader & Channel Faders All of our super-smooth faders are of the high-grade 45-mm ULTRAGLIDE variety. Faders are, after all, the heart and soul of every mixer, and with their 500,000 cycle life expectancy (that's 275 fades per night, per fader for five years without a break!), they outperform standard faders more than twenty-to-one. And since the crossfader uses VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) technology, there is virtually no audio noise. For those of you who prefer customized crossfading, the DJX750 also includes our CF Curve control, which lets you set the crossfader's control characteristic just the way you like it. It is, after all, your show!
XPQ 3D Making music larger than life is what it's all about and the DJX750 comes through on this in a big way. XPQ 3D Surround widens the stereo field, giving it immense depth and a stereo image that is full of life, with amazingly transparent sound. You determine the intensity of this stunning effect with a simple twist of the Surround control--from barely noticeable to supremely spectacular.
Sound Quality None of the above-mentioned features would amount to much if the DJX750 didn't sound truly remarkable. That's why Behringer equips each one with our tried-and-true ULN (Ultra Low-Noise) preamps: what comes in comes out, with nothing added. So you get maximum headroom, extremely low noise and ultra-transparent sound. Compare it to the competition for sound quality, features and value and you'll see why more and more DJs "own the night" with their Behringer DJX750.
Monitor Multi-Tasking You can't put on much of a show if you can't hear what you're mixing! That's why Behringer didn't cut any corners on DJX750's monitor section. When the monitor Mode switch is in the "Split" position, you hear the PFL (Pre-Fader Level) output on the left side of your phones, and the Master signal on your right. If you prefer working in "Stereo" mode, you can turn the MIX control fully counterclockwise to hear the channel PFL signal in both sides of your headphones, fully clockwise for the Master output, or you can "mix" both signals by adjusting the control to anywhere in-between. You can listen to one or multiple sources, and LEDs light up to indicate what you're listening to.

Behringer PMP2000 800-Watt 10-Channel Powered Review

Average Reviews:

hmmm... first you will get more than you will pay for this product imagine the clarity sound of a desent studio sound systems, that is what you will hear on the speaker output... well i connected it with my yamaha pa speaker that is programed to 250watts rms to 500watts peak, and im really amazed and pleased to the sound output on it, althogh i dont think it can really push it to 350 watts at the max. and theres a wattage settings that you can read or see on the manual about 4ohms 8ohms to 16ohm thats why it really cant do the 350watts per channel... i just know by hearing it cause i recognized sounds and loud sound ...i also have a LIVE power mixer for my karaoke system that has 225watts per channel and that, i will say its louder but also every amp has its ups and downs and for the behringer pmp2000 this power mixer is better, imagine the clarity of a bose "acoustimas serries"... imagine that, that is what you can hear on a PA speaker... that is how good the sound that this power amp produced... about the down side its not that loud that i expect from a 350watts amp and the low's are not that deep or excelent, but thats maybe the speaker that i am using but still it has a good base but not to compare to a good powered subwoffer or car subwoffers... i will say its just right... but on my own satisfaction i wanted a better bass effect so i think im adding another sub speaker or just mix it with a powered subwoffer...
about the channels i have only tried 3 inputs like the guitar, mic, and cd or dvd sound out. and also media player like zune and cellphone that has a preamp or headphones out...and that it will really hugs your sound loving fellings...
about the mixing like i said on those three , there is no problem at all it dont distort the sound while you were playing it at the same time... what a very nice power mixer because on what it can do i would say you can pay 500 dollars and you will still win on that product of behringer, not to talk about the 99 different echos effects , flanger, chorus, and a lot more but they sounds close... once you tried the first effect or effect 1 and at your 25-30th effect you'll be lost and wont be remembering the difference the sound effect that you used earlier... anyway if you want a close look of what im taking about... check out my video on youtube about pmp2000. WARNING im not a very good camera man but i think ive shown what everybodies want's to hear and see's about this product... just type okeylang47 on the search tab and search for behringer pmp2000 den click... thank you for reading this review to the end ... happy shopping...

Ashdown MAG 300H EVO II 307W Bass Amp Head, Black with Silver Face Review

Ashdown MAG 300H EVO II 307W Bass Amp Head, Black with Silver Face
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this bass head for over a year now and have had no problems with it thus far.
It's rated at 307 watts @ 8 Ohms, thats 307 real watts not 300 @ 2 or 4 Ohms like most bass amp companies try to wow you with. Has a warm clean sound without the hiss you'd get from other amps in this price range, but is still able to get a little ratty if need be, just crank up the input. cool lit UV meter helps you visualy to see if youre pushing it too far and the sub harmonic generator pumps out serious low end sound.
my only qualm is, no footswitch for the sub harmonic gen.
paired with the right cabinet this thing will shake stuff off of your walls!

MAG is designed for the busy semi-pro player who wants classic ABM tone without the more sophisticated facilities and connectivity. The MAG 300H head features a potent fan-cooled 307-watt RMS power section. Rotary bass, middle, and treble controls are supplemented by smaller rotary controls—providing 15dB of cut and boost at 220Hz and 1.6kHz and effectively creating a comprehensive 5-band EQ section. Additionally, front panel push switches for Bright and Deep settings provide instant access to attacking and warm, rounded sounds, respectively. On the subject of low-end response, the trademark Ashdown sub-harmonic generator is willing and able to deliver truckloads of earth-moving tone if called upon. Inputs are provided for active and passive instruments, and the front panel also features an effects send and return; a tuner/line output; and a balanced DI output for direct connection to a mixing console. The amplifier also includes a built-in compressor with precision sonic control, and the cabinet is finished in a tough, retro-style vinyl covering.

You guys are my heros. Right out of the box the Mixer showed its real colors. Set everything the way it should be and it worked like a champ in the studio. I can't wait to try it on a gig we have in a large building with about 800 people.
When this happens I will rewrite this and let you know.
Thanks for all you do.

Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer Review

Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been doing studio work for several years now and
I was scared to buy this mixer, because of the name Behringer.
I checked it out at Sam Ash and guitar center for several weeks,
and I was still hesitant.
On microphone input it has 3 band EQs, compressors/limiter Noise gate,
Talk on (Music ducking) reverb, Pitch, Echo and a list that runs a mile long.
The line input has beat counter that syncs to the build in effects echo, reverb, Pitch, This is great for reggae and club music.
Some of the other features are the 32 Second Sampler, Crossover, sub- output, and enhancer, S/PDIF, MIDI in and out and it comes with rack ears. This mixer should cost thousands of dollars for what it can do.
I'm currently trying to set up the Midi control commands for Serato and apple Logic pro.
I used to be scared of Behringer, but after seeing this mixer, I'm checking out all their products with a different view.

The DDM4000 is a state-of-the-art 32-bit digital DJ mixer, jam-packed with creative tools, yet its intuitive layout will let you feel at home in an instant. Editing, storing and recalling your settings is simply a breeze! Hook up your turntables and CD/MP3 players to its 4 stereo channels, each with fully programmable EQ and Kill switches. Put ultimate versatility at your fingertips with fully programmable beat-sync'able multi-FX modules, a pair of high-precision BPM counters and a digital crossfader with custom curve adjustment. And the super-cool BPM-sync'd sampler with real-time pitch control, loop and reverse functions will make your crowd go wild.

Choose Your Channel The DDM4000 struts 5 independent channels. Channels 1-4 are crossfader-assignable stereo channels, suitable for both vinyl and CD decks, and have appropriate phono/line level toggle switches at the input. All channels feature 3-band digital EQs with up to 12 dB of boost and infinite cut option, or "kill." Any channel can be monitored directly via headphones thanks to the PFL switch above the fader.
A dedicated Mic channel is provided in mono, with 2 XLR mic inputs. The vocal channel features a special "talk" feature that attenuates the volume of the other 4 channels, ensuring you will be heard over the music. The Mic channel also has its own FX section that can be applied with a single button.
Cross My Heart The core functionality of any DJ mixer lays in its crossfader. The DDM4000's crossfader can be assigned to any of channels 1-4, and sports a 3-band EQ kill button on either side. The curve sensitivity of the crossfader is adjustable, and in the unlikely event that you wear it out, the crossfader itself is replaceable.
Step Up Your Sampling The DDM4000's BPM-synced sampler is a sought-after addition. The sampler allows you to record a segment of incoming audio and loop it continuously without dropping the beat. Once your track is looping from the sampler, you can swap discs and queue up new tracks and mix them back in. The transition is seamless!
Effects The DDM4000 features a stunning dual FX section that includes our patented BPM counting technology. This allows the mixer to read/display the BPM of 2 different inputs and to apply BPM-synchronized effects, such as an echo synced to the beat of the music. Effects such as bitcrusher, reverb, delay, pitch shift, and more are available, and can be assigned independently to multiple channels.
The DDM4000 is ideal for a club owner who has multiple working DJs performing on a recurring basis. User preferences like fader curve, FX settings, EQ, kill frequencies, etc., can all be set to various user accounts and recalled instantly. This feature can eliminate setup time between DJs altogether!
Swimming Upstream When you combine the DDM4000's digital operation with MIDI functionality, the door to creative applications opens REALLY wide. For example, the mixer can be used as a MIDI controller for your favorite DJ software--or whatever else you like! Channel faders, EQ knobs, and button presses can all be configured to send customized MIDI data. The possibilities here are quite endless.
