You hear all kinds of stuff about Bugera, but I'm here to tell you not to pay any attention to the negative comments. The tone this amp produces is way beyond what I expected, and certainly stands up to any other high gain tube amp out there. It doesn't matter what style you may be, this amp can do anything.
Buy it and prove me wrong.(Just kidding) Anyway, I recommend getting the amp if you can, you won't be disappointed.

(More customer reviews)I'm new to creating music on a computer, and my research, along with tons of positive reviews from others, led me to the POD Studio KB37 as a good all-purpose starting point. In terms of flexibility, this package is very hard to beat. The built-in inputs and mic preamps let you record just about anything, from guitar/bass and other electric instruments to vocals and acoustic instruments (using your own mic, of course). For these uses alone, the KB37 is a great way to get sound into your computer with minimum headaches. Simply connect the KB37 to your computer with a single USB cable. It's USB-powered, so you don't even have to plug it into a power outlet.
The hardware's MIDI keyboard and control surface open up a whole new dimension. They allow you to add keyboard parts and adjust some software parameters via real-world knobs and buttons; this is much faster than clicking and dragging onscreen "virtual" controls.
The included software package reveals the KB37's full potential, transforming an otherwise great product into an incredible bargain. Sure, the Reason Adapted (synth, sampler, sequencer, and effects) and Ableton Live (multitrack recording) software are the "lite" versions of these programs, but even so, they're very versatile and powerful. If you're fairly new to DAW software, trust me, even the lite version of Reason is pretty incredible -- you'll get a lot of use out of it. It includes tons of sampled real-world instruments, fully functional and tweakable soft synths, drum machine, sequencer, effects, and a lot more. It takes quite a while to explore its impressive capabilities. Once you do, you'll know whether you want to upgrade to the full version, which is available at a discounted price. But again, the lite verion will be plenty for many users.
Finally, you get Line 6's POD Farm software, which gives you an arsenal of stompbox and rack effects for guitar, bass, vocals, and just about anything else. On top of that, it includes amp, cab, and mic preamp modeling. You get everything that most guitar multi-effects units provide and then some. Because it runs on your computer, naming and saving patches is quicker and easier than stand-alone multi-effects units, and you can save as many custom patches as you like. And, unlike stand-alone units, POD Farm is expandable. Line 6 claims that the KB37 allows you to monitor your tone, complete with effects, without a latency problem (a lag between playing a note and hearing the output). This is not an empty promise. On my modest laptop, which runs Windows Vista on an Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 (1.83GHz) with 3GB of RAM, I experience zero latency problems.
All told, for the price of one guitar multi-effects unit, you get everything you need to start a home studio. If you're a full-time keyboard player, this package probably isn't aimed at you. As its name suggests, the KB37's keyboard has only 37 keys. So, there are probably better MIDI keyboard controllers out there for you. Plus, as a keyboard specialist, you'd most likely want a full version of whatever synth software you prefer. On the other hand, if you play guitar or bass and you want all the building blocks for tweaking your tone, adding vocals, effects, *and* getting your feet wet with powerful synths, sampling, and multitrack recording, here it is for a laughably low price.

(More customer reviews)I play in a rock/punk band with members that total about 50 years experience playing live, and we haven't found a sound out of this that we don't like. I purchased this understanding that it is a modeling amp, so I'll never get "That Sound" that I'd need to spend thousands of dollars on. Honestly, my audience cares more that I sound good and I'm getting the idea across, so if there is someone out there that is going to judge me for not having the right brand name on my amp then they don't belong at my show. Not only does this thing rock, but it can say it in a number of different ways, without having to spend tons of time and $$ on a bunch of pedals. I've got enough to do just playing my instrument. If all you want is one sound, this still does it very well, at a much better price than elsewhere (and then if your tastes change, you can always switch it up). A foot pedal is pretty much mandatory with this amp, which can tack on a few hundred bucks, depending on which one you get, but I feel like I got my money's worth with just the tuner, volume pedal, and the ability to switch between two channels, and I'll probably get more adventuresome as I use it more (it can do a lot more). As far as power goes, with an 18" extension cab this thing is nuts. No, it will not rock a concert hall, but even a 2000w stack will end up getting miked at that point, and besides, such fame is not in the stars for me:)

Line 6 Spider Valve HD100 Review

(More customer reviews)This sucker sounds really great. And it's true what they say about tube amps. You aren't really hearing it unless you crank it. I cranked it, and it was the greatest thing I've ever heard (I played a metal chord, then turned it from super loud to very low, and I could progressively hear the tone go from amazingly thick and rich, to crackly and thin. so only buy this if you plan on playing it LOUD). Put it on the Metal or Insane settings, and it's just nuts. However, it broke the next day, so I had to send it off for repair to a "local" service center (where Line 6 made me pay 30 bucks to ship. thanks L6). It's been over a month and they finally got around to checking it out. They told me the tubes were faulty. So great. Now they say another 2 weeks to order new tubes and test to see if there are any other problems. Nice work, Line 6. BTW, my POD X3's headphone jack only outputs a MONO signal now. How great is that? Talk about quality! (the presets suck too btw. no one uses those. and you can't customize them like you can on the POD X3, but thankfully, you don't need them. the main channel knob has all you need!!)
Other than that, this amp sounds AMAZING. A shame about the faulty tubes in my unit, but I hope when I get it back, it will last longer than a few minutes of it cranked. And no, not crazy cranked, just normal cranked.
The matching cab sounds amazing btw.

Line 6 Spider Valve 212 Review

(More customer reviews)I've been playing guitar for about 16 years, but I'll admit I know next to nothing about amps. I know what are generally considered to be good amps (Bogner, Marshall, Mesa/Boogie, etc.), but I couldn't look at the specs on an amp and tell you if it was any good.
After a little research, I came to the conclusion that I wanted a tube combo amp, something suitable for gigging or for practicing in the bedroom, that would give me a good variety of tones. (I like to play a wide range of music, from classic rock to metal and fusion, and bands I play with usually do covers.) I went down to Guitar Center with this in mind, and one of the salespeople pointed me to the Line 6 Spider Valve 212.
I plugged in an Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 (the same guitar I have at home) and immediately fell in love with the tone. You can see the specs for this amp a little farther up on the page, so I'll just talk about what matters: this amp sounds great. Plug in a good guitar with some good pickups, and you can dial in pretty much any tone you're after. Crank it up loud, and the tube power really shines. More than a dozen amp models (two choices for each individual setting on the dial) give you a wide variety of possible sounds. You'll likely hit on one or two models that you prefer, but even within a single setting you can dial in an impressive variety of tones.
I wasn't thrilled with the clean setting, but all I had to do get the clean sound I was after was to turn down the gain on the crunch setting, add a tiny bit of tape delay and some reverb, and there it was: my perfect clean tone. I've settled on the metal modeler (amber LED) for most of my high-gain tones, but I've only had it for about a week. I'm sure I'll find all kinds of great tones on different settings.
The one complaint I have about this amp is about the effects. They are limited, as you might expect with onboard effects, but the modulation effects in particular are practically unusable. The chorus and flanger are combined on the same dial for some reason, but all I really hear when I turn it on is a flanger, which is far too overpowering besides not being tweakable. A shame, since chorus is the only modulation effect I regularly use. The phaser and tremolo are okay, but I rarely use either and haven't experimented with them. The delay, on the other hand, is very usable, and I'm glad it got its own dial with three different flavors. The tap button for setting the tempo is essential and makes the onboard delay all most guitarists will need. The reverb is decent but a little overpowering at anywhere past about 11:00 on the dial.
Some other cool things about this amp include a built-in noise gate (just hold the tap button while turning the reverb dial past noon to activate it), distortion boost (hold the tap button while turning the drive dial past noon), and a tuner (hold the tap button in until the preset indicator switches to tuner mode). You can also save all your favorite settings as presets, easily navigable with a Line 6 FBV Express or Shortboard foot switch. (I strongly recommend spending the extra $100 on an FBV Express, though $230 for a Shortboard seems a little steep.)
(A quick side not about presets: the amp comes with 400+ presets, including 9 user-programmable banks with 4 patches each, totaling 36 programmable channels. You can't overwrite any of the artist or song presets. The presets are mostly decent at best, but they're a good starting point for tweaking. The amp does include a port for a PODxt, which you can also control with your FBV foot switch, and though I've never used one I'm sure it has plenty of programmable patches, so you aren't exactly limited to the amp's channels or presets.)
All in all, this amp sounds great with a huge variety of possible tones and options that will suit the needs of most guitarists playing in cover bands or just having fun at home. No, it can't compete with a Mesa Dual Rectifier half stack, but for a tube combo amp at well under $1,000, it can't be beat. Did I mention how loud this thing gets? I haven't been able to crank it past 10:00 on the master volume yet. I can't imagine anyone would ever need to go past 1:00, even at gigs. It's a seriously loud 40 watts.

Line 6 Vetta II Combo Amp Review

The paragraph below is basically the same review I posted on Musicians Friend back in 2006.
This amp has all the features I've ever wanted and a lot more. If you're a mad scientist type that likes experimenting, then you will love this amp. If you're someone that doesn't like messing around with a lot of knobs and settings, then this is not the amp for you, buy a Fender twin or a Marshall half and be done with it. While the Vetta II alone offers a lot of capabilities I do recommend the FBV floorboard and Variax guitar if your budget permits. The value of being able change your amp and guitar models with a single click of a footswitch is worth the price of admission IMHO. Before I had the Vetta II and Variax I can't tell you how many times I wished for this capability while switching guitars between songs at a gig. The only issue I've had with this amp is it's susceptibility to power surges. It used to reset itself on me during rehearsals but since then, I've always plugged it into a surge protector and it's never reset on me during a gig.

Out of the box, it sounded great though some of the presets are definitely lacking. The Smart Fx Envelope Filter is absolutely unusable though the Chorus effect is pretty decent. The amp simulators are okay. Rock preset is pretty sweet I gotta say.
I am a working musician and need to make sure that my gear is reliable and this amp has fallen short on small gigs, rehearsals and as a practice amp no less. The sound/volume seems to diminish the longer you play. For some reason the amp will change presets all on its own. Which has cost me a few dirty looks.. Thanks Line 6!
At this time there is some problem with the amp. It shuts down after being on for about 10 minutes as it heats up. (I take great care of my gear... never dropped or knocked around).
The only thing I have found this amp remotely useful for was practicing with the mp3/cd input, which many other amps come with. Aside from that, I wouldn't recommend this amp to my worst enemy! The warranty is up and I have a forty five pound paper weight in my practice space. The wiring schematics aren't available to the end user. So far the amp has been taken to a Line 6 repair shop and I still have the same problem. I'm taking it back again. Buyer Beware! The bells and whistles are mediocre at best and the amp itself has been nothing but a headache. Line 6 really needs to work on their bass line for amps. Look into buying another brand.

I'm forming a Yes Tribute Band and I never thought I would find one pedal that would allow me to plug my guitar, steel, and stand mounted sitar in at one time; much less be able to switch any of them between two amp rigs. I am thrilled. It's extremely well built and the Lehle Company stands behind it's products. Fast responce to an email and the owner was going to mail a spare power plug for free. I found the right sized plug locally, but still you can't beat that kind of service.

No wonder they are the best speakers around. I couldn't imagine anything sounding better than what I hear from this thing. Sounds really great from the tube head at 16 ohm, also from the POD plugged into the head, and also from a little Laney combo amp I've got lying around with an 8 ohm out. No matter what I plug into this thing, it just sounds great. I HIGHLY recommend this cab!

Line 6 Low Down Studio 110 Amp Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this amp a month ago, and yup, it packs a punch. I actually have to turn it down when I play it at my church. I like the R&B and the Clean. The Synth is pretty crazy stuff. The Rock definately has that tone, the Grind I don't really have a need for.
When using my headphones I'ts hard to hear the different tones, but I'm pretty sure I just need to get a better pair. I don't fully understand how the cabinet simulater and line out feature differ. I am glad the power cable disconnects.
Overall lightweight, durable, and great options for the buck. I researched amps for awhile before buying and this one stood out above many others. I luckily got to try one at a music store before I bought it online.
I've only been playing bass for about a 1 1/2 years, and am sure I will come to appreciate this amp more as I improve.

(More customer reviews)I have been playing hard rock and metal for 29 years (love Dream Theater, OLD Metallica, Vai, Satch, etc.). Wow, has it been that long? I have done more recording and gigging than I can remember. Anyway, I was skeptical when I first heard about this, read the reviews, and listened to some of the digital deniers/naysayers. I, too, have always preferred tube sound to digital. However, I quickly found that, if you understand and know how to properly adjust this amp, the distortion blows the others away... in depth, in styles, in selections, in sheer amount of leeway with which to experiment and create your own, signature sound (instead of being staying in the flock of sheep... you really want to sound like everyone else anyway? You can if you want with this amp... but, this amp allows for SO MUCH MORE. No one ever was cited as being innovative for sounding like others... But, I digress.) And, good GOD, when you click the STEREO switch and hear this thing through true, 2 sided stereo... THE distortion is absolutely beautiful, smooth, creamy, and just MAJESTIC-sounding. Doesn't sound compressed and like you're listening to it through a can... or has been compressed down to a few frequencies. Fills the entire room with a symphony of brutality. THAT, my friends, is where you get HEADROOM... STEREO SOUND. The clean sounds you can produce are without equal. Like playing crystal strings... shimmering, clear, and really brings out the different characteristics of adjustments to your guitar... volume, tone, pickup selections... where you pick on the fretboard, all of it. Amazingly responsive to different styles. It really shows off your instrument and your brand of music.
The ease of use, the bone-crushing distortions that go way beyond what anyone would ever use, the crystal cleans, and the effects are all incredible. Speaking of effects, how many amps have a pre-set noise gate that you don't even have to really adjust for loud volumes? Just hit the button on your amp! Also, built in compression... again, just hit the button on your amp.
You know what, at the end of the day, all of these people who dribble on and on incessantly about that type of tube distortion and this type of tube distortion... Satriani, Vai, and Petrucci all use the Boss DS-1 distortion pedal to get their distortion sound. Yep, lol, that's right. Look at their racks and their rigs... Lynch used ProCo (Rat) stomp box for his distortion. MANY players use Ibanez TS-1, etc, etc. Well, here's an amp that you don't have to go buy a pedal for... Ever.
Get this and enjoy the freedom. Throw your effects away. GET THE FBV SHORTBOARD, however... Have fun and make music, people!!! Enjoy!!

Behringer ACX900 Ultracoustic 90-Watt Amplifier Review

(More customer reviews)You could spend some serious money on an acoustic amp ... but depending on your needs, this amp is an exellent value ... it performs as good or better than lots of amps 3 times it's price ... Behringer makes really high quality products for much less money than most products in the same class ... between me and my sons, we own several Behringer products and have always been pleased with the quality ...
This amp has 2 channels and multi band EQ on each ... 1/4 inch on one channel and XLR on the other ... I have been able to dial in really good sound for multiple acoustic gutiars and even for a vocal mic (although you might need a pre-amp for the mic for optimum performance) ... it also has outputs to go to a PA and I have been pleased with the results when I've used it as a monitor and run it to a mixing board for live performances .. it has 90 watts which is plenty of power for small venues or for use as a monitor (lots of amps with less power are way more expensive) ... look at the features on this amp and then compare them to other amps and you'll see you get more for your money with this one ...
Two reaons this amp does not get 5 stars. One is that the built-in effects are really below average IMO ... reverb is just OK and everything else just doesn't do it ... if you are just looking for a good acoustic, non-effected sound (or if you want to use your own external effects) you should not be dissapointed ... the other is the knobs/dials are plastic and look like they may not hold up as well as ones which are more ruggedly made ...
So if you are looking for a great value for a basic acoustic amp, you should be satisfied with the ACX900 ...

Fender FM 212 DSP 100W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp Review

(More customer reviews)Agree with Larry generally, and particularly the excessively-small fonts for the amp and effects selection. I sold my 212R and bought this 212DSP recently. I'm aiming for clean twangy modern country sound with single-coil guitars, and this does what I want. It takes a bit of getting used to to get the best from it, particularly setting up the two channels so that something useful is acheived by switching between them. The built-in effects are ~ok~ cheaper than buying a whole array of pedals I suppose, and giving a choice of sounds without being too gimmicky. However, in a gig situation, you could spend too much time fiddling with settings trying to get it right. It will take some time before I'll use this intuitively.
Dislikes: There is only one input jack in this, the 212R had two. I used to leave a back-up guitar plugged in to my 212R with its volume down, can't do that with the DSP. The knobs pull off the pots too easily, showing that the pots have plastic shafts - not the greatest sign of quality materials. Spare knobs can be found on the 'bay in packs of six. The tiny print is a real pain on the amp and effect selectors, and they also have unmarked in-between click positions where you have to guess what is happening it seems.
Likes - Sound is clear and punchy. there is some hiss and buzz on some settings, but not noticeable when a lively band is playing. Plenty of clean power available, this amp will get your solos and lead lines heard. Overall, I like it.
