(More customer reviews)The Moog Etherwave theremin is the "Ford Taurus" of theremins... IT's not the prettiest thing out there, but the value and reliability is stellar.
I personally own 3 Etherwaves. I built one as a kit and the other two were pre-built models. The kit comes with a pre-soldered and tested main board, so all you really have to do is wire up the knobs on the front panel and finish the cabinet. You can even put it in your own custom cabinet. I've seen people build them into old radios, mannequins, and even pickle jars!
The Etherwave has a 5 octave range and it's very stable with temperature drift. Compared to other theremins at this price point, the Etherwave is a clear stand-out.
