(More customer reviews)Out of the box, this Oscar Schmidt OS150FCE was unplayable. So far, I have found two serious problems. First, a screw which positions the chord bars was overtightened, resulting in its twisting off flush with the wood case. This allowed the chord bars to drop down on the opposite side, coming to rest on the strings and completely preventing playing the instrument. Second, the Gmaj chord bar is bent. Much more pressure is required on this key than on all the others to damp the unwanted strings. This instrument is beautiful and the built-in pickup and fine tuning system are great features. But I cannot recommend it based on the manufacturing flaws. There is reason to suspect that all instruments from this manufacturer suffer from the same lack of quality control.
