I've been looking for this guitar for quite a long time through guitar centers all across the U.S. Finally guitar center found me a floor model but couldn't bring the price down...they were rude and all around very unhelpful. But I saw this on amazon thinking it may be too good to be true, when in fact it was the answer to my prayers. The guitar was shipped fedex for free and arrived within days of my order! Much earlier than I would've expected! The price is significantly better than anywhere else and I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived! Kudos Dragon Music! Thank you for restoring my faith in mankind!

Cordoba 55RCE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, CD/IN Review

Cordoba 55RCE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, CD/IN
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this guitar for about 3 years and I am more impressed with it now than the first day I brought it home. I have a number of guitars and the only classical guitar I own that I think compares favorably is an Alvarez-Yairi CY 118. While the Yairi is a beautiful instrument in tone and workmanship, the value of it is that of a classical guitar which resonates throughout your body as you play it. On the other hand, the Cordoba 55RCE sounds wonderful but does not have quite the acoustical resonance of the Yairi. But, the Cordoba has an electronic piezo pickup system that makes the guitar come alive when played through a halfway decent amplifier. The Cordoba includes an electronic tuner and 3 band equalizer as well as a presence modifier with its electronic package. On the whole, the Cordoba is a well rounded instrument that you will enjoy playing with or without and amplifier for years. As with any fine classical guitar, I would highly recommend that you play it before you buy it. All fine guitars are a little different. If it is not possible to play before delivery, make sure you can return it within a reasonable amount of time. This should not be a problem for the dealer. If it is, say goodbye and take your business elsewhere. The Cordoba 55RCE is made from some of the finest wood available in a time of scarcity of fine woods. But, even the best of woods do not guarantee long-term structural integrity. This is not a guitar to take to the beach and play along with your friends singing because significant changes in humidity will harm the wood and could cause cracking and/or warping. Since the Cordoba has an excellent warranty, please make sure that you take care of it in the prescribed way (to the extent practical) to preserve the value of the warranty, and more importantly to preserve the sound and beauty of the instrument. Even though it is covered by a warranty, you do not want to be without your guitar for any period of time that it takes to fix it properly. It takes a little extra time to care for your Cordoba, but it is worth it. Buying a Cordoba 55RCE is buying art that is functional as well. If you are lucky enough to acquire one of these fine instruments, I wish you luck and all the happiness that will come from your playing.

Breedlove Passport Plus OM/CMe, H-H Guitar Review

Breedlove Passport Plus OM/CMe, H-H Guitar
Average Reviews:

I own a Breedlove American Series and Pro Series guitar, and I wanted to have a smaller body as a travel-beater guitar. I'd ordered the least expensive C200/SMP (blemished) from another vendor but to my luck, they had run out and offered me an incredible deal when I asked about the Passport Plus OM/CMe. Intonation is spot on and the setup from Breedlove is perfect. VERY EASY to play. I really don't expect many issues from Breedlove instruments... even the ones that are made in Korea. The sound is a lot bigger than what I'd expect from an OM size guitar.
This little wonder holds its own against guitars three times its price. Makes a great full size travel guitar or for those who just want a great sounding value OM!

Hagstrom Swede Tremar Electric Guitar (White) Review

Hagstrom Swede Tremar Electric Guitar (White)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This guitar looks amazing, quite amazing actually, the features sounded amazing also when I read them, BUT when I got the guitar I was horrified at the quality of this guitar. I normally and usually play american fender strats, gibsons, etc. Attended Berklee College of Music for a master in guitar so i've played MANY guitars and I must say i've felt squier's better constructed than this guitar. As soon as I received the guitar I took it to a professional repair shop and was told to return the guitar because i'd put more money into fixing it than the guitar is worth. The tremolo bar was horribly attached to the body, the tuners on the thing felt cheap, one of the tone knobs didn't work, a toggle switch didn't work, the other toggle switch made horrible noises when switching humbuckers, the frets were sticking out too far on the neck causing me to cut my fingers when trying to slide. I returned it immediately and had to eat the shipping costs. I wouldn't recommend this guitar if it was two dollars and same quality, it's not worth the money, for the price go buy a guitar worth value.

The Hagstrom Select Series, Vintage Series, and UltraLux Series guitars recapture the original glorious Hagstrom style. They are built to the same stringent quality standards and feature Hagstrom's exclusive technologies including the legendary H-Expander Truss Rod while introducing a number of new technological advances such as the Resinator Fretboard in order to guarantee that these are the finest guitars on the market. The Vintage Series Tremar Swede combines a vintage Hagstrom Vibrato roller bridge with custom hardware to match. The Tremar Swede features a 45mm Mahogany Body with 10mm Carved Mahogany Top and set Mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made from Resinator wood with Hagstrom Pearl Block Position Marks. Resinator wood is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots, and it has a smooth, articulate sound. The H-Expander Truss Rod provides tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, and the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world's fastest playing guitar.Other features are: Hagstrom 18:1 die cast tuning keys, 24.75 inch scale length, a 3-way tone filter toggle, a Tremar Vibrato with Tremar Roller Bridge, 2 x volume/ 2 x tone, and 2 x Hagstrom Custom 58 Humbuckers.

Breedlove Atlas Solo J350/CM Acoustic Electric Guitar Review

Breedlove Atlas Solo J350/CM Acoustic Electric Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Some up front disclaimers:
1) I am a hobbyist with guitars and quite the amateur and am no expert by any means.
2) This is the first acoustic (and only the second guitar, the first being a Variax) that I've ordered online.
I recently purchased this guitar from Amazon. I've wanted a Breedlove for some time. The Atlas series is the higher end of the Korean made Breedloves and is designed and has the final setup and QC done in Breedlove's Bend, Oregon facility.
First to address the online ordering experience:
1) Ordering from Amazon was quick and easy, this was the last one in stock and was serviced by Amazon.
2) The guitar came in a Breedlove box packed in a plastic wrapped Deluxe gig bag. There was no apparent
shipping damage, much to my surprise :)
3) After the guitar acclimated for a while I unpacked it. In the gig bag (it's a pretty nice bag) was the
guitar and a small package with an allen wrench for the truss rods (notice the s on the end of rod, more
later), a spare saddle and a couple of shims for the saddle (which I definitely did NOT need).
4) When first unpacked I found the action to be extremely high (unplayable past the 3rd fret high). I adjusted the neck truss rod quite a bit (a full turn clockwise) and that helped some but I didn't want to go any further so I backed it off half a turn and decided to take it to a local dealer and get a setup done. The setup rendered things much better (saddle was shaved down). In hindsight most guitars ordered online will probably require a setup so I won't whine too bad. Just remember that's out of pocket when ordering online.
5) The end pin jack was extremely loose (I could pull it out 1/4 inch). I easily fixed the end pin issue.
That said, once the setup was done and I was happier:
Thoughts on sound:
Much of this is very subjective and about the player and their style. I play mostly with a pick and a
combination of picking and light to medium strumming. I have a light to medium touch and don't dig in much or
play with a heavy or fast style. If you are into heavy strumming though the guitar can lose it when really digging in.
Unplugged this guitar sound pretty good. It is definitely loud and projects well and has plenty of nuance. It
doesn't sound too boomy and is pretty even sounding across the board. The treble is there but not too much so.
The sustain is definitely "there". The harmonics are clear but a bit hard to pin down. The sound of this guitar
is almost bell like, it kinda' sings. All in all the sound is quite nice.
Plugged up through my setup the guitar definitely acquires some bass (a bit much in some situations) but the
L.R. Baggs sounds pretty good overall and is very adjustable.
On the side sound hole: This feature REALLY opens this guitar up to the player. I can hear nuances in the sound
of the guitar that just aren't there with any other guitar I play. While this feature may be subjective I can't
say enough about how it really wraps the player up in the sound of the guitar. The sound is something that
can't be recorded effectively and just has to be heard first hand, if you get a chance you should definitely
try one of the Solo series to see what I mean.
Thoughts on playability:
Though the guitar is relatively unforgiving of sloppy fretting the neck is very playable. The satin finish on
the neck is fast and not sticky in the slightest. The neck is relatively thin and a bit wider than I'm used to
but is really comfortable and easy to play. The guitar is a Jumbo and the body is deep and large so I will need
to adjust a bit but overall balance and playability is nice.
Thoughts on build quality:
The guitar uses the "JLD Bridge Truss" for bracing. This I believe was a system originally designed to repair guitars that had top bowing issues and was designed to transfer some of the string tension from the bridge to the sides. It is basically a truss rod that connects the bridge to the tail block. It seems to work well and helps sustain a lot.
In summary:
All in all for a $750 Breedlove I like this guitar a lot. I wish I could have afforded one of the Pro series
but it was twice as much. The guitar sounds distinctive in a good way, is well balanced and plays well. The
monitor sound hole adds to the richness of the sound. I would encourage anyone looking for a new acoustic in the
$700 and up (and you definitely can go UP with Breedlove!) to give these guitars a close look. I'll be looking at the new American Series Solo for sure!

With the Breedlove Engineered Bracing and JLD Bridge Truss System this resonant and versatile jumbo body is very comfortable, sounds great acoustically and records cleanly and dynamically. The specially tuned top is also ideal for alternate tunings and powerfully projects for big group jams.

Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, Black Review

Average Reviews:

I've owned this guitar for a few months and I can only say positive things about it.
I'm not a highly skilled player myself but I can recognize a fine instrument like this when I play it.
The construction and overall finish is beautiful. Very solid, doesn't feel like is going to break in your hands even if you treat it like a solid body guitar...
Great sound, as an acousting, even when it has a thin body, or plugged into an amp or PC interface.
Althoung the action is a little high, you will find this beauty very easy to play due to its kind of thin neck.
The tuner works great as it's very precise. Also the internal pick up does a great job, but don't forget to turn it off after tuning because it eats the 9volts battery very quick.
The cut-away makes it great for high pitch shreding not possible in normal acoustics... and, I have to say, the tuning is still great down in the last frets.
I would really recommend this guitar for beginners and very skilled ones as well.

Breedlove Passport C250/CO Guitar Review

Breedlove Passport C250/CO Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a guitarist with a small budget for his purchases in guitars, I was thoroughly pleased with the Breedlove Passport C250/CO. For the past few years I've been using the Big Baby Taylor which itself has a wholesome sound due to its dreadnought body design. I was greatly surprised that the Breedlove Passport C250/CO, with its smaller body, could rival this depth in sound. The quality of the sound is superb, although I am not a fan of the strings that come with the guitar. The guitar itself is actually surprisingly heavy due to the dense wood used (Ovangkol). However, I am not displeased with the weight; it feels strong and sturdy rather than the thin wood used for the Big Baby Taylor I've used.
What must be said, however, is that the color in the picture of the guitar is deceptive! The guitar is actually much darker than the wood displayed in the picture. The ovangkol is also much darker, although the picture shows that the color seems to be light and the same color as the front of the guitar. Although this disappointed me a bit, it grew on me within the first few days.
Overall great quality guitar that I recommend anyone looking great sound quality for a reasonable price!
(OH, and if you plan to purchase this guitar, I suggest you add to your cart a sturdy case because I wouldn't trust the gig bag provided for my travels with this lovely Breedlove guitar! And while you're at it, add a nice strap because it doesn't come with one!)

Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Classical Guitar with Polyfoam case Review

Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Classical Guitar with Polyfoam case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My experience with purchasing the Cordoba Fusion 14 Maple from Amazon.com was excellent. Aside from some setup needed to smooth over the fretwire ends (not a big deal), for which I've deducted a start, the guitar's fit and finish is superb; particularly, for the price. Please see my review of the same model (except with Maple back and sides): [...], for more details. I've also uploaded additional photos of what I received to make my point.
I purchased mine from Amazon.com in April of '010, and it came with a high-quality hardshell case then, for $859.00. I can't speak to the quality of the Polyfoam case that it now comes with. However, even if the Polyfoam case is inferior to the hardshell case--which may be subjective, given that the Polyfoam case is likely to be much lighter than a hardshell, which can be a big plus for some people--the price of a new hardshell case for this guitar, added to the price of the Cordoba Fusion 14 here, is still an amazing value, and very hard to beat!
