Oscar Herrero Flamenco Metronome/Tuner, Stereo, ACMFOH Review

Nice metronome, good rhythms but way too expensive. There is a ten buck flamenco metronome for the iphone called mobile compas which gives way more programmability and beats on price even if you include the price of the iphone.

Cordoba 55RCE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, CD/IN Review

Cordoba 55RCE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, CD/IN
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this guitar for about 3 years and I am more impressed with it now than the first day I brought it home. I have a number of guitars and the only classical guitar I own that I think compares favorably is an Alvarez-Yairi CY 118. While the Yairi is a beautiful instrument in tone and workmanship, the value of it is that of a classical guitar which resonates throughout your body as you play it. On the other hand, the Cordoba 55RCE sounds wonderful but does not have quite the acoustical resonance of the Yairi. But, the Cordoba has an electronic piezo pickup system that makes the guitar come alive when played through a halfway decent amplifier. The Cordoba includes an electronic tuner and 3 band equalizer as well as a presence modifier with its electronic package. On the whole, the Cordoba is a well rounded instrument that you will enjoy playing with or without and amplifier for years. As with any fine classical guitar, I would highly recommend that you play it before you buy it. All fine guitars are a little different. If it is not possible to play before delivery, make sure you can return it within a reasonable amount of time. This should not be a problem for the dealer. If it is, say goodbye and take your business elsewhere. The Cordoba 55RCE is made from some of the finest wood available in a time of scarcity of fine woods. But, even the best of woods do not guarantee long-term structural integrity. This is not a guitar to take to the beach and play along with your friends singing because significant changes in humidity will harm the wood and could cause cracking and/or warping. Since the Cordoba has an excellent warranty, please make sure that you take care of it in the prescribed way (to the extent practical) to preserve the value of the warranty, and more importantly to preserve the sound and beauty of the instrument. Even though it is covered by a warranty, you do not want to be without your guitar for any period of time that it takes to fix it properly. It takes a little extra time to care for your Cordoba, but it is worth it. Buying a Cordoba 55RCE is buying art that is functional as well. If you are lucky enough to acquire one of these fine instruments, I wish you luck and all the happiness that will come from your playing.

Antonio Hermosa AH-15 Flamenco Guitar, Cypress Review

Antonio Hermosa AH-15 Flamenco Guitar, Cypress
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Antonio Hermosa AH-15 Flamenco Guitar is a solid guitar for a beginner's trek into the world of flamenco guitar or guitar playing at its basics. The guitar came with a lower action than regular flamenco guitarists would play with but that can be adjusted by changing the strings and or guitar repair. The bass, as mentioned by a previous reviewer is deep and the guitar sounds like a flamenco guitar when played with a bit more force but again, changing the strings might make a world of a difference. The AH-15 is not a traditional flamenco guitar as much as it may be a great classical-flamenco hybrid which plays both styles soundly.
As a beginning guitarist and not necessarily a beginning musician, having played the keyboard for a number of years, this is a pleasant introduction to the world of flamenco and classical guitar playing. I recommend this guitar if you are in a budget and want to get started on some flamenco guitar picking but be lenient since flamenco guitars are highly expensive. It did the job for me.

Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, Black Review

Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar, Black
Average Reviews:

I've owned this guitar for a few months and I can only say positive things about it.
I'm not a highly skilled player myself but I can recognize a fine instrument like this when I play it.
The construction and overall finish is beautiful. Very solid, doesn't feel like is going to break in your hands even if you treat it like a solid body guitar...
Great sound, as an acousting, even when it has a thin body, or plugged into an amp or PC interface.
Althoung the action is a little high, you will find this beauty very easy to play due to its kind of thin neck.
The tuner works great as it's very precise. Also the internal pick up does a great job, but don't forget to turn it off after tuning because it eats the 9volts battery very quick.
The cut-away makes it great for high pitch shreding not possible in normal acoustics... and, I have to say, the tuning is still great down in the last frets.
I would really recommend this guitar for beginners and very skilled ones as well.

Cordoba FCWE Gipsy Kings Reissue coustic Electric Classical Guitar Review

Cordoba FCWE Gipsy Kings Reissue coustic Electric Classical Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the original version of this guitar from Cordoba back in 2001. The original version was extremely well made and the solid Cypress wood back and sides looked and smelled magnificent. The playability and feel of this guitar was on par with a top notch luthier built flamenco guitar in this price range. The sound was the typical Flamenco growl with an edge. The Fishman ProBlender PU system is quite nice. Zero feedback problems and nice ergonomic feel make this guitar a real winner for playing live.
Its made for this purpose and does it well. Im glad to see that Cordoba has brought this beauty back to the product line. They are still highly sought after and will always be a players favorite, especially for stage, or studio work. The case that came with mine was a VGV case made in Italy and the guitar fits snuggly into this special thinline case. If you dont play flamenco, or would prefer the rosewood version of this guitar, look for the RCWE model, rather than the FCWE.
The RCWE (rosewood) version of this same guitar is gorgeous and the sound is very rich. Either one, the FCWE, or the RCWE is a world class instrument that will not disappoint. Cordoba does a very nice job with these fine instruments.

I really liked this instruemnt. The woodwork and binding is equal in quality to units that cost much more. The only adjustment I had to make was the bridge to lower the action a little. The sound quality is very good and the built in tuner is great as well. Great value and the fact that it is left handed makes it worth more to me.

Cordoba GK Studio Gipsy Kings Signature Model Flamenco Classical Guitar Review

Cordoba GK Studio Gipsy Kings Signature Model Flamenco Classical Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Definetly one of the best guitars out there.
I went to the guitar center in my area looking for a new guitar and this was the best in the place, regardless of price. It was superior to to other guitars costing 900, 2000, or even $3150. The first thing i thought when i picked it up was that it was extremely light, but when i started playing it i realized that the light body caused it to have excellent, excellent sound. I also love the color and the finish. The thing i like most about this guitar is the playability. This model is so incredibly easy to play. You only need minimal pressure to play notes, which means that new guitarists wont be stuck with bar chords that sound terrible, and more experienced guitarists who need to play very difficult pieces and move their hands frantically over the fretboard never end up with a foul note.
I can play anything on this guitar. I play Bach and Spanish guitar on it, and the rich basses make it really special. And when i play jazz or bossa nova, The higher notes sound smooth and natural. When all i want to do is strum chords, it resonates better than acoustic guitars do. If you like playing harmonics, this guitar plays the cleanest and nicest ones.
I love how this guitar has an electric pickup so you can plug it into an amp or speakers and play. I never did play with an amp until i got this guitar. All i can say is that this guitar is top notch
If you're shopping on a budget and you're just starting out, maybe you should get something cheaper, but if you're more advanced and your old guitar doesnt deliver the sound you're looking for, then i definitely recommend this model. I don't think i will ever buy another guitar after this one, not for a long time at least. I feel like there are better guitars out there than this one, but there's no way they can be THAT much better, so i think this is an excellent choice.
As far as trusting my review goes, i'm a pretty experienced guitarist. Classical guitar is my specialty, and i have been playing it for about fifteen years. I have played countless models, included handcrafted ones by private makers in Europe, which the GK studio rivals.
