ML Noir XT - Classic Black Review

ML Noir XT - Classic Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought one of these guitars a few days ago, and man can it shred. It works great with line six and boss stuff, but I will probably drop some dimebucker or EMG pickups in it to get better pinch harmonics. Although it dosn't have any inlay, it dosn't affect your playing(exelent playabillity). If you want a good deal, and you want that dean style , I suggest a closer look at this one.(you might want a hard case if you intend to travel)WELL WORTH THE MONEY! (Also it isn't the phantom, it's realy the noir XT)

EMG KH21 Kirk Hammett Active Pickup Set with Pickguard Review

EMG KH21 Kirk Hammett Active Pickup Set with Pickguard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the by far the best pickup set I have ever seen or played. The ease of installation is great. I had to rout out some of my body and had to solder the plug in jack, but it was easy (I am mechanically inclined so that helped). The sound is awesome, I love the 3 position switch, seperate volumes for each pickup and the tone. You can play both pickups and then adjust the volume so that you get more from one pickup or the other and then adjust the tone as you see fit. Possibility's are endless. My Fender HSS is a totally different and 100% better looking and sounding guitar. I went to Musicians' Friend and found the matching cover for the back of the my guitar. My Strat is Vintage Red Wind so this looks awesome on it.......I wish that I could find a black whammy bar to match the pickups and the look would be complete......Great job EMG and thanks to Amazon.com I saved over 20 bucks compared to Musician's Friend and it was delivered to my front door in about 5 days. Awesome deal.......

Kirk Hammett first visited EMG back in the early 80's when Metallica was a local group on the rise. We worked closely with him to release his first Pro-Series system, the KH20. Fast forward many years to today and Metallica is still leading the pack and Kirk is still searing though solos and ripping those monster chords. Over the years as venues grew bigger and techniques were refined, Kirk required different tools for different jobs, and so we offer his second Pro-Series system, the EMG KH-21. This system is a simple EMG-81/81 combination which utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, endowing the tone with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. This setup comes with two volumes and a master tone all wired onto a custom 11-hole white pearl pickguard with contrasting black knobs. Lean and mean mettalitone.

DKMG Dinky (Black) Review

DKMG Dinky (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Love mine. I have it in the satin black finish, and it really plays fast and smooth. Great for shredding and lead guitar, but very versatile too and cleans up very well also. Powered by two active EMG's, the sound you can get from it is quite amazing, and it is a fairly affordable guitar considering it's caliber. Made in Japan, and over there they produce guitars every bit as good, if not better, than their American counterparts. Would definitely recommend.

Randall RS412KH100 Kirk Hammett Series 4x12 Cabinet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The cabinet is phenomenal, I'm using a Line 6 Vetta head and Monster cables, which make my rig pretty good. I've been playing for a few years now and only used the combo amps. Being the first cabinet I bought, I wanted something to use for quite some time and this is a great built. I don't understand why some people complain of other cabs being too whimsy, why not just buy this one and forget about it. Yet the sound produced is what actually got me to purchase the cab. The celestions used are top of the line, crisp sound when I play some blues or jazz sound, but even better when I go for some Amon Amarth song or Some crazy Behemoth. All in all the best cab I could wish for, do yourself a favor and get something that is quality, and worth investing on.

This is a speaker cabinet that is built to last. It has amazing sound and comes equipped with good quality caster wheels. I drive the speaker cab with a Genz-Benz El Diablo 100 head and a Dr. Z Trianwreck attenuator to keep the beast under control. I really don't know of a way to beat it. Dean ML 79 Guitar with Floyd Rose Tremelo, Trans Brazil Review

Dean ML 79 Guitar with Floyd Rose Tremelo, Trans Brazil
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Dean Set Neck Guitars are the very Best you can find for the money. Let's see... Do I buy a $2500 Gibson Les Paul or a $500 Dean. Oh, make no mistake, the Les Paul is better... just not $2000 better, NOT EVEN CLOSE !!!

Click Here to see more reviews about: Dean ML 79 Guitar with Floyd Rose Tremelo, Trans Brazil

The Dean '79 Series ML is built to the original specs of the 1979 Deans, boasting a mahogany body with flame maple top, a set mahogany neck, a pair of Dean zebra humbuckers, and Grover tuning machines. This model adds a licensed Floyd Rose with a locking nut, for the tremolo fans. Get the vintage tone without the vintage wear and tear, and forget about that boutique price tag.

The Dean '79 Series1979 was a great time for Dean Guitars. Some of Rocks' greatest players played Dean to include: Kansas, ZZ Top, Heart, The Doobie Brothers, Triumph,The Cars, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard--the list goes on.

Dean Guitars builds these beauties to the original specs of the original 1979 Deans, which are now collectibles on the open market. The '79 series uses the Series 2 headstock, larger than the time capsule, and has the same look and feel as their predecessors of the seventies.

The '79 series is available in finishes originally offered in the 1979 Dean catalog, including: Cherry Sunburst, Braziliaburst, and Black with white binding--and the prices are just as striking.

Mahogany Body with Flame Maple TopAs with the original models, Dean uses a mahogany body for its contemporary '79s.Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain. The flamed maple top serves two purposes. The first, which is plain as day when you take a look at this axe, is aesthetic, with the Braziliaburst finish showcasing the flamed wood grain for looks you can't deny. The second result of the flamed maple top is a focusing of the mahogany tone, imparting clarity to your notes/chords, and a little extra high-end bite.

Set Neck ConstructionThe '79 ML features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access (enhanced even further by the '79s cutaways). The 24-3/4-inch scale neck features a rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays.

Dean Humbucker PickupsTo capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers, in black-and-white "zebra" style for looks as good as the sounds. And what to expect tonally? These pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.

Grover TunersIf you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Licensed Floyd Rose TremoloThe patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose tremolo allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it.

Epiphone Prophecy Futura Custom FX (Floyd, EMG-81/85 Pickups) Review

Epiphone Prophecy Futura Custom FX (Floyd, EMG-81/85 Pickups)
Average Reviews:

I'll be honest. I don't think this guitar is for everyone. Other than receiving the actual guitar in a mess (de-tuned, very very very low action, ridiculous unplayable buzzing and offset bridge etc, etc....don't worry... did not buy it from this particular seller XD), After i got it fixed, it played excellent. I can't judge it too harshly because i've been playing a jackson rr-3 for 2 years, and the floyd rose on that particular model of guitar is completely flush with the body, and i know most floyds are not, but rather raised, above the body. Also, the pick-ups are a bit too close together for my liking, and i have a really hard time getting harmonics out of the g-string, but that's just my experience, and i would say 'because of that' but i really don't know if that's the cause. And of course it's about twice the weight of an rr3 so you get a bit sore after a while, but i can't complain about that. Other than that, it has a nice fast neck, reasonably slim, plays nice, but pick-ups seem a bit over-responsive.

Epiphone Limited Edition Wilshire Pro Electric Guitar, Pelham Blue Review

Epiphone Limited Edition Wilshire Pro Electric Guitar, Pelham Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I do not recommend buying anything from this seller.
They are the biggest cheaters in town.
When I got the guitar, it was a mess...
It was an open box, fingerprints and smudges all over it.
Obviously, it was a re-boxed return.
And I supposedly bought a "new" guitar.
I can't express how ticked off I was.
I'm sure you would too ...
This is the work of the seller.
But this is just the beginning of the story.
I called and got a RMA number for the return.
It costed $50 to return a "used" guitar sold as "new".
After a month, I noticed that my credit card was not credited for the purchase.
Called and after waiting on the line for a long time and going over hoops, finally got the return.
Wouldn't you expect that once they got the guitar they would credit your card?
Not with this seller.
This seller is not musician's friend, but is musician's biggest nightmare.
Hope nobody gets one.

Original Wilshire guitars are commanding high prices in today's collectors markets. Epiphone worked hard to bring it back in an affordable guitar that doesn't sacrifice quality, and now this limited edition electric guitar has been further updated with even more pro-features. The Epiphone Wilshire's double-cutaway mahogany body and set mahogany neck, which joins the body at the 22nd fret, give you the ultimate in upper-fret access. The Epiphone electric guitar is lightweight and comfortable, with excellent resonance and natural acoustic toneeven unplugged! Featuring Epiphone's LockTone Tune-O-Matic/stopbar combination, the transfer of string vibration is improved even more, giving this limited edition Epiphone Wilshire guitar excellent sustain and clarity. The neck pickup is Epiphone's Alnico Classic. It provides warm and subtle tone with a full, even response that doesn't hold back when you need that classic humbucker crunch. An Alnico Classic Plus is in the bridge, and is over wound for a slightly higher outputwithout sacrificing its rich, vintage tone. Both feature Alnico II magnets, enamel wire, and are double vacuum waxed. Each volume control on the Epiphone guitar is a push/pull potentiometer that allows you to coil-split each pickup separately for a more twangy single-coil sound, as well as many other tonal combinations. The Epiphone Wilshire electric guitar features their own "batwing" headstock. A classic design that improves tuning ease and accuracy by offering a straight string-pull design, the headstock is adorned like the original with the vintage Epiphone logo in gold. Other features include a 1960's SlimTaper neck profile with Rosewood fingerboard, premium 14:1 die-cast tuners, and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup.

B.C. Rich Kerry King V Generation 2 Guitar, Two Toned Tribal Design over Fire Review

B.C. Rich Kerry King V Generation 2 Guitar, Two Toned Tribal Design over Fire
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This guitar was the fourth guitar I bought. At first, I thought it as a entry level guitar. But after playing for a couple of times it blew me away. I have an Ibanez XPT700XH and a Marshall 1000W tower amp. I tried to compare the sound quality and pick up's performance , I was shocked to hear the BC rich produce more powerful heavy sounds than the Ibanez. Thus, if your a metal freak like me this guitar is good for shredding and sweeping but for recording and stuff, this is not the guitar to look for.
For: Graphics, volume and tone adjusters , value for money and the most important part: The Looks and the whammy bar.
Against: Plastic Humbuckers , No fret inlay stickers like the advanced series ,only some dots above(that would have made it look cooler). Body quality-A bit heavy and its made in china.
All in all a badass guitar to add to your collection. For metal: BC Rich. For pro: Ibanez. (I am not a pro)

If you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people to see Kerry King on stage with Slayer recently, then you've seen his Generation 2 graphics. This faithful reproduction of his latest graphics features a new two-tone tribal design floating over fire. The rest is hot too: the Kerry King V2 model is equipped with B.C.R.A. active pickups, a Kahler tremolo, ebony fingerboard with special inlay, and an evil-looking Beast headstock.

Kerry King Approved B.C. Rich GuitarsKerry King has earned his reputation as one of Thrash Metal's premier guitarists by consistently delivering crushing riffs, ripping tones and live performances with the ruthless precision of a Panzer tank division. Just as consistent is King's stated preference for B.C. Rich guitars, which have fueled his sonic fire for years.

B.C. Rich works closely with Kerry to offer a selection of "Kerry King Approved" guitars that meet both his demanding expectations and ours. From the Signature Wartribe and Kerry King V to the Metal Master Warlock and Beast V, these are guitars that reflect Kerry's requirements for consummate playability, tone and construction. Pick one up and you'll see for yourself why Kerry King slays the masses with B.C. Rich guitars.

Basswood Body With Beveled TopBasswood provides a warmer tone than maple and other hardwoods, along with great low-end response, and is overall a lightweight wood. It's perfect for "V" style body shapes just like this one.

The "Generation 2" tribal graphics, framed by fire, are just the icing on the cake.

Beveled TopMost of B.C. Rich's body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape, including this one. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles, giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.

Bolt-on ConstructionA number of B.C. Rich guitars use a classic Bolt-on construction. On these instruments a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.

The Kerry King V Generation 2 features a maple neck with an ultra-playable natural satin finish, and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with just a 12th fret tribal inlay, for an extra ominous look. The "V" body shape makes access to higher notes a breeze, so you can shred away in that upper register without any problems.

B.C. Rich BRCA PickupsThis axe features B.C. Rich BRCA active pickups, for an aggressive tone that's virtually noise-free. The onboard preamp provides a higher output signal, and as a result you get serious full-range tone with plenty of control--from chugging rhythm tracks to squealing leads.

Kahler X-Trem TremoloAnyone familiar with Kerry King's playing knows he doesn't shy away from some serious tremolo abuse. Do the same, from epic dive bombs to more subtle enhancements, and stay in tune. Sharing all of the features and benefits of the Kahler Hybrid line, the Kahler X-TREM series models include onboard fine tuners and 6 way adjustable saddles: side to side for perfect string spacing; front to back for accurate intonation and up or down for ultimate action and radius matching.

Gibson Flying V 1968 Electric Guitar, Ebony - Chrome Hardware Review

Gibson Flying V 1968 Electric Guitar, Ebony - Chrome Hardware
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The legendary Flying V by Gibson is one of the top guitars of choice for all music afficionados. I bought my first "V" when I toured with the second re-grouping of Screaming Lord Sutch. I have always loved the remarkeable sustain the V can produces even while being beaten with a bratwurst. I now own three V's and would not part with any of them. There durable construction is a bonus as well. I once clubbed an irrate sound technician in the face with one while doing studio work for "The Filth" back in 93. Once while performing with The Defecators I actually used my 2nd V to bat in incoming beer bottle back into the crowd during a show in Hamburg. The action is very light and perfect for doing solo's with your tongue. My 3rd V can be heard on tracks 2, 4 and 5 on Meat Sticks 3rd album..."Whats for lunch".

B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special Electric Guitar, White Review

B.C. Rich Mockingbird Special Electric Guitar, White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Out of the box, mine had a slightly high fret & a switch that needed adjusting (common problem with this style of switch).
That being said:
This Mockingbird has become one of my main go-to guitars and can cover just about any musical ground that I want it to. The neck-through construction gives great sustain an feedback to the player. The Tone-pro's bridge is rock-solid. The Rockfield pickups are punchy & warm with just the right amount of bite to cut through the mix. Plus, I've added a push-pull coil tap to one of the tone knobs for even more versatility.
All in all, it's just a spectacular guitar that only needed a little setup TLC out of the box!
Love it!

After sending back the retro model for this custom model, Amazon forgot the case it was supposed to come with.
The guitar smokes, and is Michaels original black/white look he had with the Gibson he and his brother had.
Becouse of the hassle of not getting a case, and no one to bitch at, I sent this one back too.
After thinking it over, I ordered the custom flame model from a different place.
At the price these Schenker V's are going for, nows the time to pick one up.
BTW,
The USA lights out pickups are the best I have heard.
Better than my Jackson dinky.

Dean V Inferno Electric Guitar, Black With Blue Flames Review

Dean V Inferno Electric Guitar, Black With Blue Flames
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had this awesome guitar for about 2 weeks now and cant put it down.
It almost feels like it plays itself. This guitar has incredible sustain,
the pickups are great all the way from crunch to warm and mellow.
This is a great deal for such an incredible guitar.
The inlay work looks great and the neck through body really gives
this guitar the tone and sound that DEAN fans have come to love.
The maple body is as light as a feather and feels great and
is properly balanced. This is another shred MACHINE from the DEAN
masters.
For some reason the inferno has not been as popular
as some of their other guitars and i cant see why. This plays as well
as the dime from hell and the Dixie Rebel.
There is NOT a double locking Floyd Rose trem on this axe, there is a tom style bridge and the ever faithful Grover tuners which do a great job
at keeping in tune.
I would recommend this to your ammo collection of great guitars.
If you are a collector of flying v guitars do NOT pass this one up!

This guitar is playable out of the box, it's got a heavy/chunky kind of sound, the pick ups are nice, not the greatest but they're good. I loved it as soon as I started playing it. It's one of those guitars that attracts you to play well on it when you pick it up. It's bigger than you'd think, and the silver is beautiful, it's not too heavy, not too light, kind of perfect balance. The fretboard is fast and you'll have no problem going up and down this thing like I95. Did I Mention that it's really attention grabbing? My only qualm with it is that It had a lot of fret buzz when I started playing it but I guess I'll have to break it in.....BUY IT!

It's a decent guitar for the money($489).It has pretty good hardware. The bridge, nut, fretboard, neck, body, and tuners are solid. The body is mahogany back, maple top,and spalted maple veneer on top of the maple top.I really wish it was'nt veneer on top.The abalone inlays on fretboard look really nice.I was'nt that impressed with the Rockfield SWC pickups.I think they might be good for classic rock. They just were not high enough output for me.The frets were not level on one side of the neck so I had to send it to Michael Kelly to fix it.Plays fine now,the action is a little higher than I want it but it can't be lowered anymore(buzzing). The access to the 22nd frets is very difficult and is a reason for me to sell this guitar. If you want a Les Paul copy I think this is one of the better ones out there, just make sure it's set up right and the frets are level.
