B.C. Rich Kerry King V Generation 2 Guitar, Two Toned Tribal Design over Fire Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This guitar was the fourth guitar I bought. At first, I thought it as a entry level guitar. But after playing for a couple of times it blew me away. I have an Ibanez XPT700XH and a Marshall 1000W tower amp. I tried to compare the sound quality and pick up's performance , I was shocked to hear the BC rich produce more powerful heavy sounds than the Ibanez. Thus, if your a metal freak like me this guitar is good for shredding and sweeping but for recording and stuff, this is not the guitar to look for.
For: Graphics, volume and tone adjusters , value for money and the most important part: The Looks and the whammy bar.
Against: Plastic Humbuckers , No fret inlay stickers like the advanced series ,only some dots above(that would have made it look cooler). Body quality-A bit heavy and its made in china.
All in all a badass guitar to add to your collection. For metal: BC Rich. For pro: Ibanez. (I am not a pro)

If you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people to see Kerry King on stage with Slayer recently, then you've seen his Generation 2 graphics. This faithful reproduction of his latest graphics features a new two-tone tribal design floating over fire. The rest is hot too: the Kerry King V2 model is equipped with B.C.R.A. active pickups, a Kahler tremolo, ebony fingerboard with special inlay, and an evil-looking Beast headstock.
Kerry King Approved B.C. Rich GuitarsKerry King has earned his reputation as one of Thrash Metal's premier guitarists by consistently delivering crushing riffs, ripping tones and live performances with the ruthless precision of a Panzer tank division. Just as consistent is King's stated preference for B.C. Rich guitars, which have fueled his sonic fire for years.
B.C. Rich works closely with Kerry to offer a selection of "Kerry King Approved" guitars that meet both his demanding expectations and ours. From the Signature Wartribe and Kerry King V to the Metal Master Warlock and Beast V, these are guitars that reflect Kerry's requirements for consummate playability, tone and construction. Pick one up and you'll see for yourself why Kerry King slays the masses with B.C. Rich guitars.
Basswood Body With Beveled TopBasswood provides a warmer tone than maple and other hardwoods, along with great low-end response, and is overall a lightweight wood. It's perfect for "V" style body shapes just like this one.
The "Generation 2" tribal graphics, framed by fire, are just the icing on the cake.
Beveled TopMost of B.C. Rich's body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape, including this one. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles, giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.
Bolt-on ConstructionA number of B.C. Rich guitars use a classic Bolt-on construction. On these instruments a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.
The Kerry King V Generation 2 features a maple neck with an ultra-playable natural satin finish, and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with just a 12th fret tribal inlay, for an extra ominous look. The "V" body shape makes access to higher notes a breeze, so you can shred away in that upper register without any problems.
B.C. Rich BRCA PickupsThis axe features B.C. Rich BRCA active pickups, for an aggressive tone that's virtually noise-free. The onboard preamp provides a higher output signal, and as a result you get serious full-range tone with plenty of control--from chugging rhythm tracks to squealing leads.
Kahler X-Trem TremoloAnyone familiar with Kerry King's playing knows he doesn't shy away from some serious tremolo abuse. Do the same, from epic dive bombs to more subtle enhancements, and stay in tune. Sharing all of the features and benefits of the Kahler Hybrid line, the Kahler X-TREM series models include onboard fine tuners and 6 way adjustable saddles: side to side for perfect string spacing; front to back for accurate intonation and up or down for ultimate action and radius matching.
