This guitar was the fourth guitar I bought. At first, I thought it as a entry level guitar. But after playing for a couple of times it blew me away. I have an Ibanez XPT700XH and a Marshall 1000W tower amp. I tried to compare the sound quality and pick up's performance , I was shocked to hear the BC rich produce more powerful heavy sounds than the Ibanez. Thus, if your a metal freak like me this guitar is good for shredding and sweeping but for recording and stuff, this is not the guitar to look for.
For: Graphics, volume and tone adjusters , value for money and the most important part: The Looks and the whammy bar.
Against: Plastic Humbuckers , No fret inlay stickers like the advanced series ,only some dots above(that would have made it look cooler). Body quality-A bit heavy and its made in china.
All in all a badass guitar to add to your collection. For metal: BC Rich. For pro: Ibanez. (I am not a pro)

If you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people to see Kerry King on stage with Slayer recently, then you've seen his Generation 2 graphics. This faithful reproduction of his latest graphics features a new two-tone tribal design floating over fire. The rest is hot too: the Kerry King V2 model is equipped with B.C.R.A. active pickups, a Kahler tremolo, ebony fingerboard with special inlay, and an evil-looking Beast headstock.

Kerry King Approved B.C. Rich GuitarsKerry King has earned his reputation as one of Thrash Metal's premier guitarists by consistently delivering crushing riffs, ripping tones and live performances with the ruthless precision of a Panzer tank division. Just as consistent is King's stated preference for B.C. Rich guitars, which have fueled his sonic fire for years.

B.C. Rich works closely with Kerry to offer a selection of "Kerry King Approved" guitars that meet both his demanding expectations and ours. From the Signature Wartribe and Kerry King V to the Metal Master Warlock and Beast V, these are guitars that reflect Kerry's requirements for consummate playability, tone and construction. Pick one up and you'll see for yourself why Kerry King slays the masses with B.C. Rich guitars.

Basswood Body With Beveled TopBasswood provides a warmer tone than maple and other hardwoods, along with great low-end response, and is overall a lightweight wood. It's perfect for "V" style body shapes just like this one.

The "Generation 2" tribal graphics, framed by fire, are just the icing on the cake.

Beveled TopMost of B.C. Rich's body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape, including this one. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles, giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.

Bolt-on ConstructionA number of B.C. Rich guitars use a classic Bolt-on construction. On these instruments a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.

The Kerry King V Generation 2 features a maple neck with an ultra-playable natural satin finish, and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with just a 12th fret tribal inlay, for an extra ominous look. The "V" body shape makes access to higher notes a breeze, so you can shred away in that upper register without any problems.

B.C. Rich BRCA PickupsThis axe features B.C. Rich BRCA active pickups, for an aggressive tone that's virtually noise-free. The onboard preamp provides a higher output signal, and as a result you get serious full-range tone with plenty of control--from chugging rhythm tracks to squealing leads.

Kahler X-Trem TremoloAnyone familiar with Kerry King's playing knows he doesn't shy away from some serious tremolo abuse. Do the same, from epic dive bombs to more subtle enhancements, and stay in tune. Sharing all of the features and benefits of the Kahler Hybrid line, the Kahler X-TREM series models include onboard fine tuners and 6 way adjustable saddles: side to side for perfect string spacing; front to back for accurate intonation and up or down for ultimate action and radius matching.

B.C. Rich Kerry King Signature V Guitar, Black with Original Tribal Graphic Review

I love this guitar!
It exceeded my expectations in every way. Where to start?
This neck-through design, shape, and feel of the guitar is amazing. The neck construction is very tight and smooth. Binding would just get in the way. Its very smooth.
The frets and action on this guitar are low and fast. I love low action, and the Kerry King Signature V didn't disappoint. It so easy to hit harmonics when you want to, and the size of the frets are perfect for speed.
The abalone tribal inlays were one of the biggest surprises of the guitar. They are high quality abalone shaped in the KK tribal pattern and are very colorful when the light hits them. The pictures don't do them justice.
The best part of the neck, beside the headstock that just looks demonic in real-life, is the ebony fretboard. I've always been very picky on the fretboards I play on and was concerned about some other Ebony fretboards I've seen. However, it is simply AMAZING on this guitar. The Ebony is smooth, no discoloration, and the perfect curve for playing fast. Bright when you want it, chunky when you need it. I just can't get over how happy I am with the ebony fretboard.
The sound of the guitar is pure evil. Fast and heavy. It has a deep growl that you can feel pushing air when you play on a half-stack. Between the EMG pickups, the Kahler tremolo, and my personal favorite, the PA2 preamp, you can get some insane heavy sounds.
The PA2 preamp is great. It gives a 20db boost and when you hit it on, you can hold a note in a long sustain pretty much forever. Its perfect for over-the-top solos.
The look is amazing. Again, the picture don't do it justice. The guitar I received had a black Kahler tremolo instead of the chrome one you see in the pictures. I didn't specifically ask for a black, maybe that's how they're all made now. However, it gives it a much harder look. I haven't had any issue with the tremolo after restringing with 10 gauge and down-tuning a 1/2 step. The beveled edges give it a more white outline look to it in the pictures, its much darker looking in normal light.
Again, the sound is awesome.
I really just can't get over how cool this guitar is. I'll admit, I'm a SLAYER fan, and if you want that same heavy, evil sound... this is the guitar.

This is a Signature King axe for a reason! Top end parts like a Kahler tremolo, Grover tuners and EMG active pickups help deliver all the roaring tone Kerry King is famous for. While a Kerry inspired tribal graphic adorns the beveled edge top.

Quality ConstructionKing's Signature V features a maple body for a nice, even tone--even at monster volumes. The hard maple neck with through-body design means serious sustain, and the ebony fretboard is graced with abalone tribal inlays.

This axe doesn't skimp on hardware either, with Grover Mini-Rotomatic tuning machines and the flat-top Kahler tremolo bridge. Paired with killer electronics, this V is definitely ready to live up to the Kerry King legacy.

Beveled TopMost of B.C. Rich body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.

Neck-Through ConstructionB.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in Neck Through construction. They utilize it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high end guitars. This construction starts with premium North American maple or Mahogany and runs from the tip of the headstock to the end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows us to cut away more of the body and neck at the neck joint which provides comfort that no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all of our top of the line B.C. Rich models.

EMG Active PickupsIn the bridge position, the Signature V boasts an EMG-81, a high-output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

An EMG-85 is in the neck position. Although the EMG-85 has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy lowend and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn't muddy.

Kahler TremoloThe Kahler 7300 flat mount series locking/floating tremolo system is designed to drop onto any flat top guitar. All 7300 series models include onboard fine tuners and 6 way adjustable saddles: side to side for perfect string spacing; front to back for accurate intonation and up or down for ultimate action and radius matching.

Grover Mini-RotomaticsThese precision machines fit guitar headpieces that will not take full size machines. The mini buttons provide more space for players' fingers (even larger fingers) to tune strings. Gear ratio is 14:1. Sealed-in lubrication keeps Mini-Rotomatics perfect for a lifetime.

Dean V Dave Mustaine Guitar, Bolt-on Classic Black Review

Dean V Dave Mustaine Guitar, Bolt-on Classic Black
Average Reviews:

I used to play guitar years ago. I had never gotten truly proficient, but I knew a number of songs and wasn't bad at playing them. The problem was, I never really felt like I could play the stuff I listened to - Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Now, after about 8 or 9 years of not having a guitar (pawned off all of the guitars I had over the years, in needing to pay bills - never again!), I decided to pick up a guitar - one that would inspire me to learn some of my favorite songs ("The Thing That Should Not Be" and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", for example.)
While I didn't buy this guitar from Amazon (I want to be able to hold and play an instrument before buying it), I'm quite happy that I did buy it. It may be the "low end" of the Dave Mustaine signature series but, as far as I can tell, there's nothing lacking other than a few frills like upgraded inlays and custom paint jobs.
I've had my guitar for about a week now and I can't put it down. I've yet to find anything wrong with it or anything to complain about, save for the positioning of the strap buttons - one is right behind the neck, where it bolts on to the body, and the other is on the underside of the "top" leg of the V. A little difficult to get used to if you're used to strat-styles, but still pretty comfortable. I don't know if I'll ever be able to truly shred out some of the solos in some of the songs I want to learn, but I do know that I'll enjoy trying while playing this guitar. :D
