(More customer reviews)Bought this guitar the other day. Wanted to get a higher quality guitar in a midrange price. The sound is good, and like the features of it including the locking string nuts. When you replace a string, you cut the string short so it doesn't overwrap. This prevents slippage from overwrapped strings. Goes in tune easy and has nice action. The 3 way switch is in a good location so if going from clean to heavy is easy while playing.

TheSchecter Hellraiser Solo 6 lives up to its name. This guitar was madefor the loud, the heavy, and the very metal. Just a few powerchords andyou'll know that no other tonewood conveys dark tones like a solidmahogany. The 3-piece set mahogany neck with Ultra Access heel designgives you total access to the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Fitted withan EMG Active 81TW Dual Mode Humbucker/Single Coil pickup in the bridgeposition and an EMG 89 Active Humbucker/Single Coil Alnico pickup inthe neck position, you'll also have an amazing sound palette to workwith. EMG Active PickupsThe EMG-81TW humbucking pickup in the bridge position boasts adual-mode design for maximum flexibility. Get all the crunch andaggressiveness that 81s are famous for, and enjoy a single-coil thatfeatures a fatter tone with plenty of punch and clarity. Dual internalpreamps, one tuned for single-coil mode and the other for dual-coilmode, give the 81TW two distinct sounds while delivering EMG's wellknown noise canceling technology.
In the neck position is an EMG 89, loaded with Alnico V magnets andalso featuring separate preamps for dual coil and single coil modes. Indual coil mode, the sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still veryclear. In single coil mode you'll get a more traditional Strat singlecoil sound: bright, airy, and chimey.
Both pickups can be switched between single-coil and humbucker modewith the push/pull taps on the volume knobs.
Graph Tech "Tusq" NutThe precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory,"which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnatedwith Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar.
