I am blown away by the sound of this guitar. It came with a proper set up and low action. I initially was dismayed as the top had a flaw on one side in the wood but it doesn't affect the sound. The sound of this guitar is impressive. After 4 months of ownership the neck developed a ski jump curve. The neck angle was too far off to fix with the truss rod. The saddle is already very tall. I was able to partially straighten the neck by using the truss rod. Only problem is that strings are now all lying flat against the frets. Now I could put a bigger nut on it to increase the height. I can't increase the height of the saddle as it's very high already. Unfortunately I put a pick up on this guitar so if I send it back I will most likely lose the pick up because I won't get the same guitar back. The sound was very good to begin with but I cannot recommend this guitar. To many QC issues.

A great introduction to a pre-war style acoustic guitar, the Classic Series I has fine craftsmanship and a natural acoustic tone. This guitar features a solid spruce top, mahogany or rosewood back and sides, fully scalloped forward-x bracing and a mahogany neck. A new standard in sound and value, the RD-06 and RD-07 illustrate the skill of the Recording King luthiers. We've crafted a solid-top guitar with a sound so amazing it rivals that of guitars three times as expensive. Assembled with the perfect combination of sonic excellence, careful craftsmanship and attention to detail, we've produced a guitar that sounds like a million bucks, but costs far less.
