(More customer reviews)Being a first time Amazon customer, I was a little apprehensive ordering a high ticket item at such a spectacular price on line. The item, a Dean Vendetta 3.0 electric guitar, arrived in a very timely manner and undamaged. As Dean has a very good reputation for quality workmanship, I had high expectations for this axe, and Dean didn't let me down. The monochromatic black onyx finish is down right sexy.Beautifully faired and polished, it resembles a grand piano finish. But the stunning looks were just a prelude to the well balanced tone, awesome sustain, features, and playability that even makes me sound good. Vendetta is truly a versatile guitar that can be dialed in to be fat,meaty,clean,or mean. Simply put, it can sing like an angel, or scream like a demon.
I personally own two Epiphones, an Ibanez, and a Fender,and have played everything from Hagstom to Hamiltone guitars. But I'm so impressed with this Dean Vendetta, my next guitar purchase will surly be another Dean.
As far as my first experience with Amazon,I've placed 14 more orders since this one, enough said.

Features a a pair of Dean high-output humbuckers, diecast tuning machines, and a Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-though-body design.
The Dean Vendetta SeriesWith four models to choose from, the Vendettas have string-through-body design, classic Dean V Ferrule pattern, dual Humbuckers, a 25.5-inch scale, and solid mahogany bodies with a maple neck. The Vendetta 1.0 and 2.0 are bolt-on models with black hardware. The 2.0 model features a solid flame maple top. The Vendetta 3.0 and 4.0 sport neck-through construction with the Pearl Evil Eye inlay running the length of the fretboard. The 4.0 version has a beautiful quilted maple top and is available in an all too popular "Tiger Eye" finish.
Mahogany BodyAs with most of their instruments, Dean uses a mahogany body for the Vendettas. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.
Neck-Through-Body ConstructionThe Vendetta 3.0 features neck-through construction, which is typically found on high-end instruments. This means maximized sustain, resonance throughout the whole instrument, further tuning stabilization, and (as with set necks) easier access to the upper frets.
The 25.5-inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearl "Evil Eye" inlays.
Dean Humbucker PickupsThese pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.
Grover TunersIf you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Tune-o-Matic BridgeA Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides even more sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped ferrule pattern adds some nice vintage Dean style.
