(More customer reviews)I bought this amp at a bargain price and thought that I may resell it. I'm very fussy about amps as all I've had until the last year or so were pre CBS Fenders. A Princeton Reverb, A Deluxe Reverb and a Twin Reverb with EV SRO speakers. Well, this Marshall can't be a Fender vintage tube amp but it is a really decent amp. And the cost of tube amps is nuts. I decided to keep this amp. It has some nice clean sounds, which is what I'm after. I also use a Fender solid state and I find that these amps sound pretty good. Not like the solid state amps of the 60s. Standell solid states or the Silvertone 6 x 10"? :

Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp Review

(More customer reviews)Finally, I've found an amp that does what I want it to. Great sound, clear and LOUD. Reverb could be better, but I sometimes use separate effects. Now here was the shocker: I hooked up my electic guit and PODxt, expecting the same crappy sound I've always gotten through acoustic amps (I've tried 5 different brands/models). JIMINY CRICKET what a fantastic sound with this amp, with an electric guitar thru the POD. I'm in HOG HEAVEN. Now, I suppose purists would scoff, but I'm into DRAMA not "multiple condenser mic" purity. All I can say is, after YEARS of flopping around trying to get the right sound at a human price, this wonderful machine does it all for me. At this price, I don't see how anyone could be disappointed.

This Marshall AS100D Acoustic Combo Amp is the one to have. Specially designed for use with a variety of acoustic instruments with or without pickups. Its four channels give you the flexibility to handle piezo transducers or magnetic pickups, a mic for vocals or instruments, and external audio equipment via a phono input channel. Channels 1 and 2 have separate EQ and level controls but also may be linked. 2x50W stereo power gives you plenty of oomph for stage performance, and a balanced line out allows direct connection to a PA. The Marshall amp has a built-in digital reverb, delay, and chorus that add dimension to your sound, and a balanced parallel effects loop with level is included. Laney VH100R 100 Watt All Tube Guitar Head Review

(More customer reviews)First I have to say this is just an incredible head! It has two channels but with the gain boost it acts like more like a four. I 've had mine for 9 years and going and I never had a single problem with it. It's always worked and performed flawlessly whenever I fire her up. I like that fact that the power tube sockets are mounted on the chasis instead of the board and also like the fact that Laney uses Toroidal transformers which are more expensive to manufacture. Other than that this amp has the goods! The FX loop chain is very cleverly thought out. You can dedicate separate pedals to your channels without altering your sound or configuration with your amp. Brilliant! One thing I can't believe it that this amp has been designed around the mid 90s and hardly anything has changed about it except for the mounted handles. Other than that? It's be tried and true to be the same as it was in the 90's, more importantly all those features has been just as useful today as it was back then. I love the sound of this amp! I can get clean jazzy tones to full saturated distortion. I don't even need pedal for leads. It's that good! This amp does have a very sensitive and interactive tone shaping features so it may take some time to fine tune your sound but I like that way because it gives you the flexibility to find new possibilities and I always do. I seem to always make some adjustments after a few weeks to months and even a year to only find out that I got a better sound than I did from the previous configuration. All it all I've owned many amps, Marshall, Peavey, Orange, Egnater, Mesa, Fender, Rivera and Engl and I have to say they all have something good to offer but at the same time there are things that they lack. The VH100R has exactly what I look for in an amp!

Crate Blackheart BH100H Hot Head Guitar Amp Head, 100W All Tube with Attitude Review

(More customer reviews)After reading the review concerning this amp being made in China and being crappy because of that i decided to give this amphead a test run. Already the owner of a Blackheart "Handsome Devil" 15watt Head i was fairly certain i would not be let down as that amphead kicks @$$!!!!!
The amp is everything the company states...I'd take this over my Marshall JCM900 any day of the week. Versatile with great crunch and cleans it covers all the bases. This amp has everything you will ever need. I could go on and on but read the manufacturer's stats and rest assured you are getting all that and more!
As far as the previous reviewer stating "If you are in the U.S.A buy Peavey!!" Well in response...while i agree we need to purchase and support U.S.A built/produced products...sadly Peavey does not make any amp that comes close to the Hothead in it's price range. I've owned the original 5150 as well as a Valveking "both ends of the spectrum" and i only slightly preferred the 5150 although it costs twice as much keep in mind! Most of Peavey's other amps are pure crap. If they want to compete they need to come out with something decent!!! The Vypyr's and Valvekings/Windsors are smoked by the Blackheart line!
Maybe Peavey will take the Blackheart line as a kick in the ass to start producing a competitive amp. Until then i'll enjoy my Blackheart amps!
BTW The Blackheart line is distributed by Crate and undergoes a very specialized line process in it's China plant. Anyone who has played a Gretsch "Electromatic" knows what i'm talking about. The standards are very high. This amp is built like a tank!! I've been playing live actively with my BH Handsome Devil for over 2 years now "with it cranked!!" and not had a single issue yet! with the normal exception of some tube replacement. Go test drive any Blackheart, and tell me you did'nt crack a smile having fun with it!

Koch MTII50-C Multitone II, 3-channels, 50W, 2 x EL34, 2 x 12 Combo Guitar Amp Review

(More customer reviews)I won't go into all the features but this amp is very versitile. It really does do really good cleans and the higher gain channel is not overly saturated and with just gain adjustsments it can go from a mild overdrive to full on distortion. Add a good overdrive pedal pushing the front end and this amp will do great full on modern metal.
The secret weapon on this amp is the mid shift on the gain channel. In the up position the mid control controls the upper mids and does the more vintage Marshall style tones and feel. with the control in the bottom position it drops the mid control to the low mids and it does the california tones. So it really is pretty cool.
The only thing is that this amp can produce a strident very high top with the speaker dampening to loose.. I would recomend you install Celestion Greenbacks in these newer models.. ( old ones I've seen originally had greenbacks ).
Beautiful style ( love the reflective grill cloth ).
