Schecter C-7 Standard Electric Guitar - Black Review

Schecter C-7 Standard Electric Guitar - Black
Average Reviews:

Get this guitar, plain and simple. For the money you pay you couldn't possibly find a better deal. The build quality is top of the line, you can feel the quality oozing out of it just by holding it. It's been an incredibly reliable instrument for me. It stays in tune really well without the trouble of a finicky and fragile floyd rose. The duncan pickups deliver a clean sound with lots of power. Having that seventh string for the extra range is very nice, especially if you want to play some of the more extreme forms of metal. The body and paintjob are truly beautiful in person. My only complaint is that it doesn't even come with a gear bag, I went ahead and got a nice hardcase for it. If you get a hardcase make sure it's big enough to accommodate the wider neck due to the seventh string.

Like works of art, each design is a work of art, individual, but still showing Schecter examples of quality in durability, playability, and of course, sound. The Damien FR is a beast of a guitar that uses EMG FH4 and H4 humbuckers on an arched Basswood body for the ultimate combination of tone and comfort.

I have this guitar for over 8 months and I have not had any problems with it. This is very well-made guitar. I see no flaws in the beautiful finish. The set up was perfect out of the box with good action. The EMG pick ups are very hot and perfect for metal. The tuners are Schecter locking tuners on my guitar which stays in tune all the time. Overall this is an outstanding guitar and beautiful Guitar.

Schecter Hellraiser Custom Electric Guitar - Vampyre Red Satin Review

Schecter Hellraiser Custom Electric Guitar - Vampyre Red Satin
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Got this guitar on a Gold Box deal that I just couldn't pass up. Received it a few days ago, shipping and packaging were good, all from the factory. The guitar itself is BEAUTIFUL! I really like the satin finish on this compared to the high gloss of the regular Hellraiser C-1, but that is just personal preference. The guitar is great, fit finish are perfect, and it feels awesome in your hands. BUT, that is when I noticed that my volume knobs would not push/pull. I thought that they may just be stuck, but they should move pretty easily. I searched the internet and could not find one bit of information on this particular model ('Hellraiser Custom' in Vampyre Red exclusive to Amazon). The closest you will find is for the Hellraiser C-1, and it is listed as having push/pull knobs. I emailed Schecter and a couple days later I received a response which stated that the description on Amazon is incorrect and that this model from Amazon does NOT have the push/pull knobs to change the pick ups from double to single. Amazon actually took the description from the C-1 and used it for this guitar (as is obvious regading the abalone inlay which is absent on this guitar as well).
Now, I still gave this guitar a 5 star rating because the guitar itself is great and it is not Schecter's fault that Amazon did not describe the guitar accurately. That being said, I don't think that Amazon should have this guitar priced the same as the C-1 when it lacks some of the features of that guitar; but that is their perogitive since it is exclusive to them (and where do they get that ridiculous MSRP from???). Also, the standard Hellraiser C-1 has the abalone inlay around the edge of the body and head which this model does not. Personally, I think it looks better without it (at least in the satin finish; I do think that the abalone looks awesome on the high gloss finish of the C-1), but that should also lower the price of this guitar. Also, the pick ups on the C-1 are updated versions of the pick ups on this guitar. So, paying what I did on a Gold Box deal, I am not that upset about the mistaken features or missing abalone (I knew that the abalone would not be there because of the photos even though the description states it), but it would have been nice to know. If I had paid full price for this guitar (which is the same as the standard C-1 on Amazon), I would have been very upset and the guitar would have gone back to Amazon. If you are debating between this and the C-1, know that at regular price, you are getting more guitar on the C-1 than on this model for the same amount of money.
As this model is exclusive to Amazon, there was no way to compare this to the Schecter models in the local guitar store (standard Hellraiser C-1), so that was a bummer. As far as comparison goes, this guitar color is lighter than that of the cherry color of the C-1 and of course has the satin finish. As I stated, I really prefer the look of the satin finish, but the C-1 is also a gorgeous guitar! If you can, visit your local guitar shop and pick up the C-1. It will give you a feel for this guitar. Only difference will be the pick ups, no push/pull knob control, and finish. It sucks to be the guinea pig here as there were no reviews prior to my purchasing this, but hopefully what I have shared with you will help you find the guitar you are looking for!
***UPDATE 1/28/11***
Amazon has now fixed the description on this guitar to more accurately reflect what it has. They also lowered the price from $750 to $395! That is a steal for this guitar!

I bought one of these guitars about 1/2 a year ago.from go it was great. all the electronics work great and all the hardware is really good. the volume doesnt go down with the coil tap. the only problem i had was the duncan "designed" pickups are a little muddy but i swapped them out for better, active pickups they are a EMG 81/81 combo. i dont know what you were talkin about in the other reveiw the only thing i could say is you got a bad one.

Schecter PT Electric Guitar (Gloss Black) Review

Schecter PT Electric Guitar (Gloss Black)
Average Reviews:

Do you remember the 80's? There was some great music back then. We actually had guitar gods as they were called. Many companies made some great guitars back then. Charvel, Kramer, and a little known parts company named Schecter, who made guitars for guitarist like Mark Knopler, Pete Townsend, and others. The Schecter PT was made for Pete Townsend of THE WHO. He used this back in the early 80's. I have always loved the look of this guitar, although I was not into tele style guitars back then, I just loved the way this guitar looked. Today, it has the same look and vibe, but the headstock changed, I guess because Schecter did not want to get sued by Fender for using the tele shaped headstock. Anyway, this guitar looks and sounds great. The pickups are hot(Schecter brand) and the neck plays smooth as silk, butter, whatever you want to compare it to. As I have gotten older(43) I have come to appreciate tele's and tele style guitars. I love this guitar, and the way it plays. The guitar has a slick, black mirror image finish on it. You can literely see your self in it. I play alot of 80's type pop/rock, new wave stuff, Duran Duran, Andy Taylor, The Outfield, also some WHO, and this guitar nails it all thru my CAA 50 classic head. I like this guitar so much, I bought two, one for a backup. Great guitar, great price. Welcome back to THE 80's my friend.

Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Electric Guitar (Gloss White) Review

Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Electric Guitar (Gloss White)

This guitar is great! I played guitar for 17 years and I tried many brands and models, and I can tell you that this one is something special. First of all, it is a beautiful instrument with a wonderful finish (especially for a korean guitar that are very variable on that point of view) it is very pretty and well designed.
It is important to know that I don't personally much like mahogany guitars neither rosewood fingerboards (I'm a Fender american stratocaster maple neck and ash body fan and owner) but this guitar changed my mind about both woods. The mahogany body is surprisingly light and the neck is fast and pleases the hand.
Now the pickups : Well here is the only black spot. These active EMGs and very nice and not as typed as much EMGs (usually I don't like this brand much, DiMarzio got my heart here). They are pretty versatile especially due to the coiltap system, but they are not as silent as told... These simply doesn't like computers and power supplies that can cause a lot of hum, this can be stressful sometimes. Except that, they are very nice, work well with the mahogany body (and neck) and don't make much noise with a guitar combo.
The playability is wonderful, great access to the 24 frets, the neck is just right pretty similar to my stratocaster's neck.
Overall, this is a light, very playable, great looking, nice sounding cheap guitar. Try it, it's worthy.

Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Electric Guitar (Black Cherry) Review

It was July of 2006, my band was about to play a show and my main guitar was falling questionably out of tune during songs at practice, so I went on a quest to get something new, that's when I stumbled across this guitar I knew nothing about, a c-1 Schecter Hellraiser. Mahogany body and neck with a carved maple top, nice arched fret board with a great feel to the neck, and powerful EMG pickups give this guitar an awesome punch. The 25.5 scale makes this PERFECT for detuning without any string flapping.
My experiences with this guitar, I have nothing bad to say about the guitar, other than the fact that when I wasn't using it live in favor of another guitar, I paid dearly, but the second I plugged the Hellraiser in, not a bad show, not flying out of tune, just very dependable.
A lot of people will frown on the Mahogany wood choice, but I've dropped this several times, (thrown once during a rock star temper tantrum) and the guitar keeps on ticking, and most importantly, the red finish still looks gorgeous!
I am so glad I took a chance on this guitar, it feels like no other import I have ever played and Schecter has done a great job with the Hellraiser series.

Schecter's Hellraiser C-1 lives up to its name. Not just because of its fiery red quilted maple top, but its screaming hot EMG active pickups, set mahogany neck, gothic cross inlays, and plenty more--perfect for veteran shredders and those about to rock.

Raise a Little Hell The Hellraiser C-1 features a mahogany body to provide smooth, detailed sound. The quilted maple top adds a little more punch to the sound, and more than a little punch to the guitar's looks--it's a real knockout paired with the devilish transparent red finish and abalone binding.
If you're a fan of serious sustain, you'll appreciate the three-piece set mahogany neck. It's topped off by a speedy rosewood fretboard with 24 X-jumbo frets and wicked-looking "gothic cross" inlays.
EMG Active Pickups The EMG-81TW in the bridge position gives you all the crunch and aggression of a standard 81 with a single-coil mode for a different sound. Dual internal preamps grant each mode its distinct sound while still providing EMG's well-known noise canceling technology.
Up by the neck, the EMG-89 also offers two pickups in one. Loaded with Alnico V magnets and featuring separate preamps for dual coil/single coil modes, these pickups will let you get a warm, powerful humbucker sound or a chimey single-coil strat sound.
Each pickup gets a volume knob with push/pull coil tap, and they share a tone knob. The 3-way switch lets you dial in a neck or bridge sound.
Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want, bend a few steps, and your strings glide back into tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.
Dependable Hardware The TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body design means even more sustain and harmonics, and when combined with Schecter's locking tuners, ultra-stable tuning no matter how hard you're rocking.

Schecter Solo Vintage Electric Guitar- See-Thru Cherry Review

Schecter Solo Vintage Electric Guitar- See-Thru Cherry
Average Reviews:

This Schecter guitar is definitely great. I consider a masterpiece guitar, all of it's components are great quality, and the sound, is indisputable. The guitar is lightweight, very versatile, ease to play, and looks incredible. It is very simple to use, the 3 knobs are just perfect to control volume and tone, and push pull button to choose between humbucker and single coil is great, even though the humbucker option is great, it makes the guitar really boom, shouting out all the bass and treble possibilities of a guitar. With this option, and choosing you rythm of treble option, you can give this guitar a very deep and warm full of bass tones, very rich, or a very light trebly tone, and if you leave it in the microphone selector in the middle, youll get a full blend of a perfect combination between bassy and trebly tones.

I bought this guitar recently, and I am highly impressed with it. Let me start by saying I am an active musician who has been playing for 22 years. I normally play metal in a band that plays at least 4 times a week, but I also enjoy a few other styles of music. Now, when I received this guitar, first thing is I was struck by the beauty of the design on this guitar. The artwork is great, but the playability is even better. I gave this guitar a music workover playing styles such as black/death metal, blues, rockabilly, surf rock, and even some classical style pieces, and it played excellent through every genre I threw at it. Excellent for lead or rythm. It hasnt slipped tune on me, no buzz in the frets, electronics all work great. This guitar is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone.Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar

First off, this guitar is amazing looking.I have the crimson red version. The guitar was setup with very low action on arrival. This makes playing alot easier if youre a shred type player.Getting used to the bigger fretboard on a 7-string was easier than i thought and i have average size hands. The inlays are a nice touch also. Now the reason i put ALMOST PERFECT!Reaching the 23rd and 24th fret is almost impossible unless you take your thumb off the back of the neck!Besides that you cant go wrong!

This is the 9th guitar that I've owned. I've had guitars with Floyd Rose bridges in the past and always liked the adjustability and design.

Even with that said, in hindsight, I'd probably get one with a fixed bridge if I did it all over again. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice option to have and this one works very well, but I dont' use it enough to justify the hassle of unlocking the nut for course tuning when you want to drop a 1/2 step or use drop D tuning.

On the upside, this guitar is gorgeous. The finish is something you'd expect on a guitar at 2 to 3 times the price. It really glows.
It arrived with good playability out of the box and didn't need any setup work.
The active EMG's are a great selling point and add a lot of sizzle and zing to lead guitar work.
The neck pickup get's a nice crunchy, full bodied sound and works great for buttery solo's and also compresses nicely for jazz.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy this guitar again if need be, but it appears very solid, nice tone and volume knobs and just has a quality feel to it. I doubt I'll need to ever replace it.
The neck plays pretty fast and the ebony fretboard, inlays and fretwork are top notch
I can higly recommend this one and it's definitely worth the money over a comparable Ibanez or ESP.

Schecter Damien Elite-7 FR Seven String Electric Guitar Left Handed
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this guitar a couple months ago and it was the best $600 I've spent...
Its very comfortable and not too heavy at all, the neck plays fast and the action is nice and low so there's not much needed effort to fret the strings. The EMG pickups are amazing, and when played a loud volumes, sounds extremely heavy and crunchy.
The Floyd Rose special system is amazing, I did all types of dive bombs whammy tricks and it never went the slightest out of tune.
This guitar is perfect for metal/hardcore music or anything heavy. I would highly recommend buying this, it's well worth the money.
PROS:
Great pickups
Great Floyd Rose system
Fast neck
Low action
Very comfortable
Stays in tune
Looks great
CONS:
Whammy bar feels a little far off the body (a little difficult to strum and hold whammy bar at the same time with pick hand)
Cutaway a little shallow (a little difficult to reach 24th fret on 1st 3 string, very difficult for last 3)
