(More customer reviews)The Taylor 312ce Grand Concert is an excellent guitar. It has a crisp, clear sound and feels nice and light in your hands. The body is simply gorgeous. Each curve is precisely constructed and shows an extreme attention to detail. The neck is also something to marvel at. It feels so comfortable changing notes and allows you to slide up and down the guitar with wonderful ease. The guitar also comes with the Taylor Expression System, which produces a full, dreamy sound when playing through an amp.
This is a small body guitar through and through. The depth and length are thinner and shorter than most acoustic guitars, so it might take a little getting used to. Yet it still manages an impressive sound. The neck is also slightly shorter than most acoustics (24 7/8 inches versus 25 1/2 inches). This is the same scale as a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul, which is fine by me. I had seen a few reviews where people said that this guitar is mainly only for finger-style playing, but I don't agree. While finger-style does sound wonderful, this guitar can handle hard strumming and everything in between better than almost every acoustic I've played. Buy it, you won't be sorry!
