I heard that and immediately thought of my cousin's 9 yo daughter Meganne. I sent Meganne the La Guitara CD & asked her if she'd like to learn to make that kind of music. Meganne is now the proud owner of a powder pink Pixie acoustic. The reduced girth of the neck is perfect for a girl's hand. Daisy Rock offers the Pixie alone or as part of a starter pack; I chose the latter option. My whole family is quite pleased with Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.

(More customer reviews)I'm not making a judement on the sound quality as I've a tin ear, but the description for this guitar should say somewhere that it has a plastic back (the resonance cavity is plastic). The Daisy Rock website actually calls the back a composite material, but it looks and feels like plastic. This information, regarding the composite back, was not on the Amazon webpage, or the manufacturer's webpage for this guitar, but on the manufacturer's general page for all guitars of this type, so it was easy to miss. The guitar looks nice and probably plays fine, but $300 for a plastic guitar seems a high price. I returned this and got the next model up (wildwood) which appears to be all wood.

When My Daisy Rock Guitar arrived, my mind immediately associated the bubble gum / pepto pink color with a toy. I had wanted a real guitar, not a child's instrument.
Well, I got a real guitar and more. After just 5 minutes of haphazard strumming I realized I had gotten my money's worth. This is a quality instrument with great sound. The built-in tuner is a real plus for novices like me. I'll be able to play this guitar for years to come.
I did have concerns about the smaller size - as I'm a 6' tall athlete and women's gear is always too small for me. But the adjustments for women to this guitar are just fantastic.
I'm thrilled with the purchase, LOVE the color, and would recommend this guitar to new and experience players.
