(More customer reviews)I fell in love with the appearance of this guitar from the start. Instead of the traditional mahagany sides and back, Hohner used Ovangkol, a tropical wood with warm golden brown, and reddish tones. The rosewood fingerboard and gold tone tuning keys just add the finishing touches. The sound is very warm, mellow and rich toned. I've played several different 12-string guitars that were much more expensive that didn't sound any better than this Hohner.
Suggestion: By it directly from Amazon!!! I originally purchased this guitar from another seller online at Amazon because it was a few dollars less. After a month with no confirmation from the seller, and no response to the 3 emails I sent them, I contacted Amazon to dispute,and cancel the original order. I placed a new order directly with Amazon, and in less than a week, I was strumming my new guitar, and I live in Hawaii.
