Epiphone DR-500M Masterbilt Collection Flat-Top Acoustic Guitar, Natural Satin Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I had scoured the internet looking for a quality mid-level acoustic guitar and came across this beast. What immediately caught my eye was the all wood construction, something that wasn't featured on a lot of guitars in this price range. And upon strumming that first open G chord, you could hear the benefit of the mahogany sides and spruce top. Great volume, nicely rounded highs, rich, deep tone...I was more that pleased. The neck is comfortable where most other acoustics felt cramped in comparison. The frets are big and easy to land on, and improve playability to be sure. The only real downer is the action from the factory is just a hair high, which is something that can be very easily corrected. You have to expect some adjustments to get it feeling just right I suppose. But as mid level guitars come, this one rules the roost in terms of build and tone. They don't call them Masterbilts for nothing.
