(More customer reviews)This one is a keeper. I have had my Schecter Tempest Custom in gloss black with gold hardware since February, 2010. The intonation on this guitar is fantastic. The neck is smooth and fast. While the factory Grover tuners were OK, I found I was retuning after every 2 songs or so. So, I put a set of Sperzel locking tunersSperzel 3x3 Gold Plated Locking Machine Heads, which fit very easily into the holes that were already in the head. They look fantastic (see photo above) and my tuning/retuning has gone way down.
For strings, I have been using Optima Golds (24 k gold-plated) that I have been buying overseas (best price, even with shipping - but check the exchange rates).
As far as my strap, I tried a few, but the last one I tried was the best - a Jodi Head Koi in Black and Gold Jodi Head Black Koi Fish 2.5 Silk Brocade w/ Adjustable Tail Guitar Strap.
