(More customer reviews)I've been without a 5 string ever since my Stingray was stolen a couple of years ago. It's obviously not on the same level as a Stingray, but the Curbow is a solid, warm sounding bass. The sustain is great and plays really well. It was in bad need of a set up when I received it (large neck adjustment, the intonation was out, the action was insanely high and the tuning knobs were all loose), but once it was set up right I didn't want to mess with any of my other basses. I've been playing for roughly 15 years, though these days it's more of a hobby, mostly metal and it works great. My only lasting issue is some electronic buzz, but that is because the active pickups are so strong. For $350, tax included, you really can't go wrong....
