Geddy Lee Signature 4 String Bass (Black) Review

This is definitely a working man's bass. When I discovered that this would make it to market, I immediately requested my local music emporium to order one for me. One evening, after my lesson, I came out to the sales floor and saw this waiting for me. I plugged it in and played... amazing. I hadn't played anything like it, and I still haven't. Whether striving for a biting high or rumbly low, this thing has it. A couple years after purchasing, I saw Rush on tour, and he was sporting this fine axe.
I've owned my Geddy Lee bass for about 10 years, and I don't expect to get rid of it. Not only is it one of the best sounding basses around, but it plays better than any other four-string I've found. The vintage pick-ups (I think Fender goes too far with their use of "vintage") sound great, really high output, louder than the active Ibanez another bassist I know has.
I have other basses with maple necks and fretboards, but nothing else has this kind of snap to it. Slapping, soloing, or guarding the groove, this is my preferred instrument. Mine shipped with Fender Super Bass strings. Don't hesitate, just buy this and think about it later; you will not be disappointed.

This bass is loaded to the max,and an excellant reproduction of the bass that Getty Lee (RUSH) is known for using live and in the recording studio. What I might add is a pretty good price for such quality.
This FENDER JAZZ bass has a 1 piece maple neck with black binding and black rectangular fret markers.
20 medium jumbo frets with a 9.50''neck radius.
2 Vintage jazz bass single coil pick ups and a vintage Leo Quan Bad Ass II Bridge.
This also Boasts an alder body and vintage 70's stamped open gear tuning machines.
This bass was a favorite among musicians for many reasons. quality workmanship, great tone sparkle and these were very road worthy, able to widthstand the abuse that comes with being a touring band.
I would suggest trying this bass out even if you dont play a Fender.
