(More customer reviews)Sure can make some strange sounds come out of your amp with the Ring! The guitar effects [also works for bass, & keyboard if it has phono plug output] are modified by your strumming hand motion, and adjustable by 3 knobs controlling level of Phaser or Flanger, & controlling Depth & also Speed, allowing dozens of different sounds for rhythm and lead. The Hot Hand can be adjusted from barely noticeable to intense! Mostly I play the notes and chords enjoying Ring effects as part of very lively background background; and when a note really cries for emphasis vibration, nothing beats the Ring. I like that I can modify the sound of fretting alone with the Ring.
I was drawn to this unit from hearing it used on YouTube - search for Hot Hand to see why!
You can shift from 1 to 4 preset effects pre-set &/or modified by you by sequentially stomping on the sturdy box, to fit different effects to your song where they fit. I like that the device uses high quality Analog Device chip, sister chip to some of the best computer sound cards. The unit came with 2 Rings, an AC power supply, and 4 AA batteries that I haven't had to use yet, packed in a carry case that looks like it should be carrying a thin Makita. Very easy to use.
All in all a very nice modulator that keeps a guitar session going longer than anticipated as I chase the rhythms.

The Hot Hand Motion Controlled Phaser/Flanger is the second unit in our Hot Hand Motion Controlled effects line. It features 7 phaser and 7 flanger effects that can be controlled in a variety of ways. Users can select 4 modulation sources: Hot Hand Motion Sensor control, low frequency oscillator (LFO), sequencer, or envelope follower. Control the modulation in real time with subtle motions of your hand or just play normally and let the LFO, sequencer, or envelope follower drive the sound.
