SKB Mighty Gig Rig with 14U top 6U Front Rack, Built-in Pedestal, Optional Rear Rack Rails Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I just installed my Presonus Studio Live along with 10 Shure Wireless Microphone Receivers, a couple of vocalizers and a small footprint computer in this baby. I used the optional rear rack rails to obtain more rack space.
Installation of the optional rails was a little tedious. There's not enough room for your fingers to get behind the side panel but after some trial and error and the appropriate profanity I had the two rails installed. After that everything went swift. This rack is the most spacious one I have ever used and it's perfect for big mixers. There is plenty of room for all cabling and you can leave all connectors in place when closing up. The overall quality is really good and I love the sturdyness of it. The heavy duty casters are impressive and with all four locks on, they keep the whole thing rock-steady in place during transportation.
The front and rear panels snap-on easily but I wonder how long the snap-on mechanism will last with heavy use. I hope you can get replacements from SKB if they break. Although the price is a little steep I whish I had bought this earlier.
