RockBass by Warwick Corvette Basic 4 String Electric Bass Transparent Blue Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I got this bass for an amazing price when they had 2 left, and comparing it to how much it cost elsewhere, I thought I was getting a major steal. Once it arrived, I found out it went through quality control back in Nov. of 2006. Now at the price it is not worth returning, but it is something to keep in mind when purchasing that it may not be the newest model. The bass in the picture has a single part bridge, new models have a two part bridge. Also new bass's only have the W on the headstock, the old basses say Rockbass by Warwick (for new basses the Rockbass logo is elsewhere on the neck).
The new Basic models do not have active pickups, they cost a little extra. I did find the new bass with active pickups for 75 dollars more than what I paid here, but I don't think that is worth 75 more for a two part bass and the "just-a-nut 3" neck rather than "just-a-nut 2". I also heard that the radius of the neck on the newer basses is slimmer though.
Overall RockBasses are amazing basses for those like me who can't afford a 1K+ bass. I'm glad I bought it, just would have preferred getting the newest model, but then again, you get what you pay for, and even a 4 year old bass was a steal at the markdown :-)
